JoAnn (Riley) Foley of Williamsburg, Iowa died Sept. 28, 2025, at Highland Ridge in Williamsburg.
She was born on Dec. 14, 1934, in Ellsworth, Wis., to J. Howard and Bernice (Collett) Riley.
JoAnn graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1952 and went on to St. Catherine’s in St. Paul, Minn., for a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
On Aug. 25, 1956, she was united in marriage to J. Roger Foley at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth, Wis. They lived in South Dakota, Minnesota, Hager City, Ellsworth, and Florida before settling in Iowa.
JoAnn is survived by her four sons, Terry (Dianne) of Williamsburg, Iowa, Timothy (Teresa) of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Robert (Michelle) of Brookings, SD, and Matthew (Linda) of De Smet, SD, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, a brother, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Oct. 13, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Iowa. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ellsworth, Wis., at a later date.
