Ellsworth Public Library is thrilled to invite aspiring authors and illustrators to a special live virtual writer’s workshop with award winning author and illustrator duo Kate and M. Sarah Klise.

The event will take place at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 1, and is the perfect way to kick off the library’s Spring Break Staycation Week filled with exciting activities for all ages!

This free, 60-minute workshop is open to aspiring writers and illustrators ages 7 and up. During the session, Kate and Sarah will share the fascinating true story of a stray kitten who wandered into a fancy St. Louis hotel in 1947 and unexpectedly became the star of a prestigious cat show. As part of the workshop, Kate will share her top tips for creative writing, while Sarah demonstrates her favorite drawing techniques. Best of all, participants will get the chance to write and illustrate their own story with expert guidance from the Klise sisters.
