ELLSWORTH – Calling all quilters, sewists, and creative community members! The Ellsworth Public Library invites you to participate in a heartfelt and hands-on event — Fair Placemat Challenge: Creation Day — from 1-3:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, at the library’s Makerspace.
As part of the Pierce County Fair Placemat Challenge, volunteers will gather to create quilted placemats that will be donated to Meals on Wheels, helping to brighten the day of local seniors.
Whether you're a seasoned quilter or just beginning your sewing journey, all are welcome! Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines and fall or spring-themed fabric. A limited number of sewing machines and materials will also be available on-site for those who need them.
This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, share your creativity, and make a meaningful impact in the community. Every placemat sewn will be a unique, handmade gift that brings joy and warmth to someone’s table.
Let your creativity serve a cause—join us in stitching kindness, one placemat at a time.
For more information or to reserve a spot, contact the Ellsworth Public Library at 715-273-3209.
