Joyce Gilles, 96, of Plum City, Wis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in her home on Nov. 5.
Joyce was born on Jan. 31, 1928 in Union Township to Harry and Zula Fisher. After she finished high school in 1946, she worked in health care for 60+ years. In 1949, Joyce married Elwood “Billy” Gilles and they were married for 49 years and had two beautiful children.
Joyce loved spending time with her family, loved to read and she spent her life in the service of others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Zula Fisher, her husband Bill, daughter, Debra Dettling, sisters Arva (Earl) Ebensperger, Anita (Bob) Ebensperger and brother Joe and Marilyn Fisher. She is survived by son, Stanley (Karen) Gilles, brother Tim (Gail) Fisher, and all of her beloved five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Nov. 17, from 1- 4 p.m. at Molly’s in Plum City.
