Maybe you’ve heard by now, but if not we have an announcement to make: the new Jug Handle traffic ramp is operational! For those who have heard we won’t spend too much time on the late October news, but a handy reminder for navigating the interchange on East Division Street and Highway 35 can’t hurt.
For those entering the highway from Division and looking to go to Hudson, drive up the old ramp (the one on the side with River Falls Area Hospital) and merge into traffic. Heading south instead? Just turn off Division Street at the ramp located closest to Hoffman Park and then turn right to head south toward Pierce County’s capital at Ellsworth—but whatever you do, NO LEFT TURNS AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP. This isn’t England, after all.
For those exiting Highway 35/65 to visit the City on the Kinne or arrive home from work, a few more directional cues are in order. For those driving from Ellsworth to River Falls, just take the ramp to your right towards Division Street. For those from the direction of Hudson, take the ramp on your right in like manner. Turn left or right onto Division Street (being mindful of cross traffic), and you’re on your way!
