July 6 12:04 a.m.

A deputy responded to 920th St. near Hwy. 65 in River Falls for a driving complaint. The vehicle was stopped for a defective headlamp. The driver stated he just got done with work and was tired. He was advised to pull over and take a nap if needed.

4:50 a.m.

A deputy was dispatched to Cty. Hwy. E in Prescott for a report of an UFO in the sky. The area was checked but no UFOs were located.

9:12 a.m.

A traffic cone was reported in the roadway near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. A and Hwy. 10. Several traffic barrels were fixed that may have been struck by a vehicle. There was no damage to the barrels.

9:58 a.m.

A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of Pine Ave. in Plum City for a parking complaint. The complainant stated the vehicle should be moved so handicapped drivers could park there instead. The vehicle was observed to be legally parked in a non-handicapped stall. The complainant was followed up with.

10:22 a.m.

A deputy was given information about cattle out at an address on Hwy. 10 in Prescott. The deputies that responded were able to get them back inside the fence.

12:42 p.m.

A deputy was requested to speak with a subject on 747th St. in Hager City in regard to photographs he sent online.

1:22 p.m.

A deputy was dispatched to 950th St. in River Falls for a 5×10 wood and metal trailer with a metal ramp that was reported stolen.

2:52 p.m.

A deputy was dispatched to 490th St. in Ellsworth for a wounded owl. The owl flew off before the deputy’s arrival and was not able to be located.

3:05 p.m.

Deputies were requested to meet with two subjects regarding a harassment complaint on 785th St. in Hager City. Multiple subjects were spoken to and information was gathered.

9:25 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped for speed near the intersection of Hwy. 65 and 690th Ave. in River Falls. The driver was cited for OWL – 2nd, Speeding and No Proof of Insurance. A valid driver was called to the scene to remove the vehicle.

Six controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 7 9:37 a.m.

A deputy was dispatched to 650th St. in River Falls for the theft of a John Deere lawnmower.

12:30 p.m.

A deputy was informed of people driving around road closed signs on 390th Ave. in Maiden Rock. No vehicles were located.

4:21 p.m.

A deputy was informed of a subject who may have been in distress in the water near Market St. in Bay City. It was found out that he was okay.

9:10 p.m.

A deputy was requested to make contact with a female subject on 330th Ave. in Ellsworth who was in violation of her No Drinking orders through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Contact was made and the female was resistive towards the investigation. Tricia Rouleau was arrested for a Felony Probation warrant and transported to the Pierce County Jail.

Four controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 8 1:48 a.m.

A deputy was requested to respond near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. D and Hwy. 35 for a tree in the roadway. The roadway was cleared by the highway department.

7:23 a.m.

A deputy was requested to respond Cty. Hwy. O in Ellsworth for a dog that had reportedly been tied up for a few weeks. The owner was spoken to and showed the deputy the dog had food and water. The man also stated he lets the dog run around as well.

9:44 a.m.

A caller from Ellsworth reported receiving an email asking her to confirm or deny a purchase made on her Amazon account. When she went to the requested site, she was scammed into revealing all her identifiers.

10:58 a.m.

A complainant in Prescott stated he had two checks between May and that day written out with his account number and cashed. The complainant needed a report for his bank to refund the money.

3:01 p.m.

Dispatch received a report from 825th St. in Hager City stated a subject was going to rent a boat slip for one night but never paid in full. The subject had been asked to leave and hadn’t removed the boats. The subject left in a vehicle. The complainant stated they would call back when he returned so deputies could tell the subject he was trespassing.

4:54 p.m.

A deputy responded to Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth for a report of two individuals knocking on doors and looking through windows. A deputy went to the address of where the vehicle in question is registered. Contact was not made with either person, but the male is running for Congress and it was believed he was knocking on doors to speak with people.

6:59 p.m.

A deputy was dispatched to 530th St. in Bay City for an intoxicated subject violating the absolute sobriety condition on her bond conditions. The subject was found nearby on foot and ignored commands. The subject was eventually brought back home and was referred for bail jumping and obstructing.

Four controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 9 2:06 a.m.

A deputy was dispatched to 730th St. in Ellsworth for a shed light that was on, which the neighbor thought was suspicious. The shed, house and surrounding property were checked but nothing out of the ordinary was found.

9:14 a.m.

The National Guard was requesting deputies to do a welfare check on a subject they could not get ahold of. A deputy made contact with a sister, who stated he moved to Eau Claire two months prior. Information was passed on to the National Guard.

11:41 a.m.

A blanket was removed from the roadway on Hwy. 10 in Prescott.

3:53 p.m.

A caller in Ellsworth requested an officer accompany him while he retrieved a sweatshirt he “borrowed” to his girlfriend. They had a heated argument and he wanted his sweatshirt back, but she refused. The caller was advised that unless both parties were aware and agreeable to police presence, the deputy was unable to assist. The caller refused to divulge her number and said she would not answer the calls. The deputy offered to speak with the girlfriend’s parents but discovered the caller and his girlfriend are both adults.

9:32 p.m.

A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Scott St. in Elmwood to check on a possibly intoxicated female who is required to be sober by a family court order when she’s in contact with her children. Upon making contact, she was sober. Contact was attempted with the complainant. A citation for obstructing is to be issued.

Two controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 10 1:20 a.m.

A deputy was dispatched to 825th St. in Hager City for a vehicle in the ditch. The driver stated he swerved to miss a raccoon. The vehicle was only minorly damaged.

6:46 a.m.

A cow was reported loose in the ditch on Hwy. 63 in Spring Valley. A deputy was able to get the cow back into the fenced in area.

9:20 a.m.

A vehicle was stopped for expired registration on Hwy. 63 in Hager City. The driver was cited for Operating While Revoked Alcohol Related. See full report.

2:56 p.m.

A complainant reported that a cement truck was dumping cement in the ditch on 490th Ave. in Ellsworth. The subject had cleaned out his cement chute. The subject received a citation and cleaned up the cement.

8:06 p.m.

A large fire was observed on 110th St. in Elmwood. The landowners were contacted and informed about calling in controlled burns Nine controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 11 12:37 a.m.

A deputy was dispatched for a possible one-vehicle crash. The vehicle could not be located until the complainant was asked for an updated location. The vehicle was located and the driver was arrested for Operate Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated – 6th Offense.

9:31 a.m.

A vehicle was stopped for speed and issued a citation near the intersection of 490th Ave. and Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth.

11:22 a.m.

An engine compartment fire was reported onboard a boat on the Saint Croix River in River Falls. Three fire extinguishers were used to put it out.

2:18 p.m.

A deputy responded to Hwy. 35 in Prescott for a suspicious person complaint. Contact was made with the subject, who was given a courtesy ride to Prescott and released to his daughter.

3:19 p.m.

Individuals near 450th St. in Ellsworth located some rocks along the river with ‘help’ written on them. Through an investigation, it was determined the landowner’s nieces and nephews were playing with chalk and they were writing ‘help’ on multiple rocks. No foul play detected.

6:54 p.m.

Deputies responded to 825th St. in Hager City for power lines down and assisted the Fire Department with traffic control.

8:35 p.m.

Deputies responded near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. E and Hwy. 10 in Prescott for a one-vehicle crash. The driver stated he left the road after swerving to avoid another vehicle. A statement was collected from a witness.

Nineteen controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 12 3:40 a.m.

A deputy was requested to respond near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. F and Hwy. 29 in Prescott for an accident with property damage. The suspect fled the scene prior to being observed. Deputies arrived on scene and collected photographs. The suspect vehicle was not located after checking the area.

3:56 a.m.

A deputy was requested to respond to Cty. Hwy. E in Prescott for a UFO sighting. The area was checked and nothing suspicious was located.

6:44 a.m.

A deputy responded to a damage to mailbox complaint on 1090th St. in Prescott. It appeared someone put some type of exploding fireworks inside the mailbox.

11:20 a.m.

An electrical box in the 200 block of W. Cedar St. in River Falls was reported to be hot and smell like smoke. Electricity was shut off and it cooled down. The Fire Department arrived and took over the investigation.

5:21 p.m.

A deputy was requested to make a phone call for a civil matter. The complainant stated his friends were stuck on the Kinnickinnic River and wanted to come out on private property. Information was provided.

9:46 p.m.

A deputy was requested to respond near to River Falls near the intersection of 710th Ave. and Cty. Hwy. O for cows in the roadway. Cows were removed but disappeared into the woods. The owner was notified.

11:38 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth for a 911 open line after dispatch could hear a female say “help”. Deputies arrived on scene and collected information. The female stated she was having an adverse effect to smoking THC. She was medically cleared and given a courtesy ride to her residence in River Falls.

Seven controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
