Kirk Sauerwein, 66, of Fairfax, Va., passed away peacefully on Dec. 28, 2025.
He was the son of Kenneth and Marge Sauerwein, born Nov. 12, 1959 in Milwaukee, Wis. and graduated from Ellsworth High school.
Kirk lived his life to the fullest. He was a very unique person and he lived his life by his rules. Kirk was a people person and he could make friends anywhere with anyone. He was able to travel the world with his work and friends. He loved his sports, Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He would call to make sure we were watching!
He is survived by his brothers Kent (Kathy) Sauerwein of Ellsworth. Kyle (Carrie) Sauerwein of Milwaukee, sister Kim (Lane Neisinger) Sauerwein of River Falls, two nieces Karly and Carol and two nephews Cory and Riley. He also had two cute, crazy dogs Larry and Shorty. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at the Ellsworth Golf Course from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday April 18, 2026. He will be sadly missed by all.
