The Pierce County Land Management Committee approved the following items at its Wednesday, Oct. 6 meeting.
•A conditional use permit (CUP) for an accessory residence for Michael Kane (Kane Farms, Inc.) in the town of Salem. The home will be a 16by-80 mobile home on concrete footings for Kane’s son, totaling 1,280 square feet with a 10-by-16 deck. The property’s primary two-story residence is 3,375 square feet with an unfinished basement. The property also includes a barn several sheds, five silos and feed bunker. The new accessory residence will be required to obtain a separate address.
•A rule exception for an erosion control plan for a twolot Major Certified Survey Map for Brian Furlong, town of Trenton. Furlong created lots 1 and 2 in November 2020. He will create a third and final parcel within the next five years.
•A two-lot Major Certified Survey Map for Brian Furlong, town of Trenton.

The LMC will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 to consider and take action on a CUP request for an Xcel Energy utility facility (greater than 1,000 square feet) in a town of Martell commercial district for Daniel and Cheryl Ross. The public is welcome to attend by phone or Zoom link.
