The League of Wisconsin Municipalities welcomes Becky Beissel as a new member of the League board.
Beissel serves as the President of the Village of Ellsworth, where she leads with a vision for community engagement and economic revitalization.
Since taking office in April 2021, she has worked to inspire a new generation of residents to become active participants in shaping Ellsworth’s future. Beissel is passionate about fostering a thriving local economy, encouraging collaboration, and creating opportunities for meaningful growth.
As a successful business owner with over 14 years of experience, Beissel understands the challenges entrepreneurs face and is dedicated to fostering a supportive climate for local businesses. Her dual expertise in business and municipal government enables her to balance visionary leadership with practical solutions to address community needs.
Beissel’s commitment to Ellsworth goes beyond her professional roles. She has a long history of volunteerism and remains deeply involved in initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents. Her enthusiasm and dedication to her hometown continue to inspire positive change.
“I’m honored to join the League board and represent the unique perspectives of small communities like Ellsworth,” said Beissel. “I look forward to working alongside leaders from across the state to address the challenges we face and to advocate for innovative solutions that strengthen our municipalities and the residents we serve.”
“President Beissel brings an important small-community voice to the League leadership table,” said Jerry Deschane, League Executive Director. “Her perspective from a community the size of Ellsworth with a population just over 3,000, coupled with her expertise in communications, will help the League see the challenges faced by Wisconsin’s small communities, and will help shape solutions for those challenges.”
