PRESCOTT – For many years, the Prescott American Legion has proudly supported Legion baseball and girls softball programs in our community. This year, the Legion baseball team returned that support in a meaningful way by volunteering their time and effort to assist with improvements at the Legion's Flag Memorial (located at 710 Pearl St.)
On a hot summer day, members of the team worked tirelessly to install more than 1,000 square feet of sod around the Memorial Flag site. In addition to laying sod, the players helped with general landscaping and cleanup, greatly enhancing the appearance of this important community memorial.
The Prescott American Legion extends its sincere appreciation to the players, coaches, and volunteers who contributed their time and energy to the project. Their hard work is a wonderful example of community service and civic pride.
The American Legion continues to offer commemorative bricks for purchase as part of the ongoing Flag Memorial project. Individuals interested in purchasing a brick may visit Chad Steger at First National Bank Prescott office, where he can assist with completing the order form. Interested individuals may also contact Jerry Klasen at 715-294-0765 for additional information.
The Flag Memorial serves as a lasting tribute to veterans, service members, and the values they have defended. Community support through the purchase of memorial bricks helps ensure that this important project continues to grow and serve future generations.
