EAU CLAIRE –Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) students received more than 400 scholarships totaling nearly $300,000 during the 2020-21 academic year. Often donors create scholarship funds to memorialize a loved one, or support a cause, but it all comes down to making a difference in the lives of the recipients. Recipients and donors are annually recognized at a scholarship reception each spring, which was cancelled this year due to the pandemic.
Local students receiving scholarships included:
Ellsworth: Blake Smith, US Bank Endowment Scholarship; Joseph Kitzberger, Conagra Foods Scholarship.
Maiden Rock/Plum City: Annita Cripe, CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP, Accounting Endowment Scholarship; Zackory Phillips, Clifford Brown Memorial Endowment Scholarship.
Prescott: Andrew Heinze, CVTC Education Association Scholarship; Molly Brunner, American Association of University
Women – River Falls Scholarship; Nicole Torgerson, Larry Gansluckner Endowment Scholarship.
Spring Valley: Andrew Pierzina, Bell Family Responder Scholarship and Maynard Pearson Memorial Scholarship; Thuy Dung Hoang, Karl & Vila Nygaard Memorial Nursing Scholarship – Continuing Student.
