Lola Geraldine Johnson, 93, of Bay City, Wis., passed away at the Spring Valley Care Center on Aug. 1, 2025. She was born in Red Wing, Minn. to John and Ulah (Hillman) Albarado. On Feb. 3, 1962, she was united in marriage with Darryl Johnson in Hampton, Iowa. She worked at the Red Wing Shoe Company for many years. Lola enjoyed the outdoors, watching all manner of creatures big and small in her backyard. She also enjoyed putting together puzzles and later framing them. She made the best banana bread which she shared with everyone. Lola was a very involved, generous, and giving member of Svea Lutheran Church.
Lola is survived by her children, Patti (Roger) Seymour, Pamela (Jeff) Anderson, Darryl Jr. (Randie) Johnson, and Polly Kistner; her grandchildren, Vanessa, Keegan (Katrin), Kayla, Anna, Seth (Chelsea), Hannah, Alexa (Steven), Clayton (Alaina), Jesse, Tashay (Tim), Brandon, Mariha, Joey, Nikole (Tim), and Alesha; 26 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Johnnie (Judy) Albarado, Fred Albarado, Jim Albarado, Frank (Betty) Albarado, Myrt (Roger) Knudsen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Johnson Sr.; daughter, Peggy LaPean; grandchildren Zachariah Seymour and Robbie LaPean; parents, John and Ulah Albarado; siblings, Loyce Enney, Donald Albarado, Eileen Cordes, Ronald Albarado, Nettie Albarado; and special son-in-law, Gary Kistner.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Friday Aug. 8, 2025 at Svea Lutheran Church in Hager City, Wis. Visitation was at 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Friday also at the church. Burial at Bay City Cemetery in Bay City, Wis. following the service. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, Minn.
