Lori Ann Larson, 62 of Plum City, Wis. returned to her heavenly home on July 15, 2023. She passed away peacefully at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, Minn., surrounded by her children after a valiant fight against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Lori was born to Dale and Lorelee Binkowski in Durand, Wisc. on May 21, 1961. She graduated from Plum City High School in 1979, and Chippewa Valley Technical College in 1981 for Legal Studies. She was a dedicated employee at Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services, where she worked for over 30 years. Her greatest accomplishment, however, was being a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was married to Mark for 14 years, and together they had three sons: Joshua, Brady, and Bryan. The boys (and later, her grandchildren) were her world, and together, they kept her doing one of the things she enjoyed most: laughing. When she wasn’t spending time with the kids, you could find Lori on the dance floor, cheering on the Packers, or soaking up the sun, sand, and water with family and friends on the Mississippi and in Mexico.

Lori was spirited and spunky, but also had a big heart and even bigger sense of humor. She was kind and courageous. Her ability to face adversity head-on while remaining devoted to others will never be forgotten. When her time came, she showed enormous strength, grace, and faith, and she laughed with her family until the very end.

Lori was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert and Helen Binkowski, Jacob Wiskerchen, and Bernard and Irma King; brother David Binkowski; uncle and aunts John and Connie Binkowski, Carol King, and Connie Manor. She will be greatly missed by her sons Joshua (Megan) Larson, Brady (Jacy) Larson, and Bryan (Lauren) Larson; parents Dale and Lorelee Binkowski; siblings Bob (Tonja) Binkowski, Amy Binkowski, and Chad (Lacey) Binkowski; grandchildren Mason, Brooks, Aubree, and Caleb; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous other family and friends.

Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Plum City, Wis. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand. Another visitation at the church will take place one hour prior to the Memorial Mass. Burial will be at the Free Home Cemetery in Plum City. A Celebration of Life luncheon will take place at Molly’s on Main following the services.

One of Lori’s final acts of selflessness was to donate her brain to further PSP research. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her memory to CurePSP (www.psp.org/iwanttohelp/ways-to-give) or the Brain Support Network (www.brainsupportnetwork.org).

Rhiel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Durand, is serving the family.
