Lori Jean Snyder passed away on June 21, 2025, just a day after her 66th birthday. Born in Green Bay, Wis., to Fabian and Beverly (Leurquin) Horkman, Lori lived a full life in River Falls, Wis.

Lori was the devoted kitchen manager at a treatment center, known for her remarkable ability to whip up hearty meals, including her famous soups and beloved chicken booya. But beyond her professional life, Lori’s passion truly shone through her hobbies. A talented quilter and scrapbooker, she could often be found with fabric swatches or crafting supplies spread across her table, creating beautiful memories to share with family and friends.

Her love for nature was evident in her fondness for flowers and birds, and she cherished every moment spent outdoors—whether it was fishing, camping, or just lounging on the new boat she convinced her husband, Mark, to buy. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel, seeking new experiences while always making time for her beloved margaritas. Lori will be remembered for her joy in simple pleasures like dining out at local restaurants or spending weekends at their seasonal campsite.

She will be deeply missed by husband Mark, children Kyle (Angie), Nicholas, Emily (Brandon) Lentz; grandchildren Kael, Nolyn, Sloan and baby to-be; brother Charlie (Sonia) Horkman, sister Debbie (Dave) Grunwald; parents-in-law Glenn & Maxine Snyder.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents Fabian & Beverly.

She had a special place in her heart for animals, so in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider memorials to your local humane society.
