Pierce County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at 11:24 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 on Highway 35 near Second Street in Maiden Rock.
A 2018 Kenworth semi-trailer, driven by Werner Gade, 61, Coloma, was heading south on Highway 35 when a 2016 Ford Escape, also traveling south on Highway 35, struck him. Stephanie Sutlick, 48, Trempealeau, was driving the Escape. Plum City-Maiden Rock Ambulance transported her to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, Minn. with undisclosed injuries. Gade reported no injuries.
Plum City-Maiden Rock Ambulance Service, Ellsworth Ambulance Service and Ellsworth Fire Department assisted PCSO at the scene.
