Mary K. (Biskupski) “Sis” Seidl, age 94 of Grantsburg, Wisconsin and formerly of Hastings, died peacefully at the Burnett Medical Center in Grantsburg on Sunday evening, March 19, 2023.

Mary Katherine, the daughter of John and Veronica (Schaak) Biskupski, was born on April 28, 1928, near New Trier, Minnesota. Following her education, Mary was united in marriage to Joseph Schulte in 1947, and they were blessed with six children prior to his death. Mary later married Jerome “Turk” Seidl and he also preceded her in death. Mary was a longtime employee at Hudson Mfg. and enjoyed being part of the Hudsonite Club. She enjoyed embroidery, gardening, canning, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brothers, Richard and John “Pic”; son and daughter, Jerry and Nancy; and by her son-in-law, Allan Meier.

Mary is survived by her children, Veronica “Snookie” Meier, Richard “Butch” (Shelly) Schulte, LuAnn “Annie” Keetley, and Janet (Bruce) Creek; eight grandchildren, Allen Meier, Stacy Meier, Jasson Schulte, Jodi (Pat) Linder, Mak Keetley, Tessie (John) Richards, Robert Creek, and Jeff Creek; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sister, Eve Wilson; and by many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with Father David Hennen officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for one hour prior to Mass and to a reception immediately following the graveside service, all at church on Thursday.
