PRESCOTT – On Dec. 7, the Northwestern #105 Free and Accepted Masons approved a $10,452 donation to the Prescott Middle School and High School trap shooting teams. Coach and Mason, Chris Patraw has led the teams every year to regionals, state, and the national tournament this year. In 2017, Prescott took second place in the state while representing the community of Prescott.
Master Mason Patraw asked his brother masons to help this upcoming season for 61 students to afford the cases of shells. Patraw is proud that these teams create a unique opportunity for students to be able to compete on a national level. He has always volunteered his time, recognizing first the great contribution of several volunteer assistants committed and necessary for supervision, competition, and scoring.
They have six shotguns to use from student fundraising, two from friends of the NRA, and two donated from the Prescott Sportsman’s Club. You can meet the coach, who is a Desert Storm veteran and hunter safety instructor, in the fraternity or watch him on the syndicated Pursuit Channel – Red Arrow TV show, in a deer hunting and processing adventure filmed this fall of 2022.
Northwestern #105 Free and Accepted Masons having sold their lodge building, have been meeting at Freedom Park.
