Prescott senior Sydney Matzek earned a roster spot at the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game, to be played Monday, July 12 and Tuesday, July 13 at the Woodside Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells.
Matzek, who played outfield and pitched for the Cardinals, will be on the Division2/3 gray team. Their first game is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday. They play again Tuesday at noon.
As pitcher, Matzek compiled a 9-1 record, striking out 48 and compiling an earned run average of 2.69.
At the plate, she collected 40 hits and scored 40 runs. She had a batting average of .435 and knocked in 27 runs.
