What do we crave?

In the course of human life all people crave something. We all need good health, food, sleep, money and things that we can buy, life in the hereafter, sexual gratification, the well-being of our children and a feeling of importance.

But what do we crave? And will do whatever we can to get it?_ To be_appreciated!

We dismiss idle flattery, but we insist on being appreciated in life, on our jobs and in our profession and our personal relationships.

For young children, it is being noticed when they bring home a good report card. Being shown appreciation for keeping our rooms clean and picked up. Without some form of appreciation kids will find a way to be appreciated. That is why many young kids join gangs and break the law. Somewhere while growing up they were not shown sincere appreciation. They were fed and housed and just grew up on their own.

This also shows itself on the job. How many times have your work team members recognized you for doing a good job? Did your boss mention how well you did a specific project?

It is one of the reasons some companies grow and prosper and others go by the wayside. People who are given sincere appreciation for their work are happy about their jobs and happier with life in general.

Take a moment right now to think of the people in your life. Now sit down and make a list of things they do well._ Find the time to share one of the things on your list with that someone in your life.

Remember. Happiness is sharing your appreciation of someone else's success._
