All 3rd – 5th grade students at Malone Intermediate School were invited to take the Preliminary Round (Round #1) of the National Spelling Bee last week. Students were challenged to spell 20 words correctly chosen from the provided list. The top students from each grade level were chosen to continue on to Round #2 which will be held in January. In Round #2, students will compete to be in the top ten for their school and move on to Round #3. The winner of Round #3 may be eligible to compete in the State Spelling Bee competition. Congratulations to these great spellers!
