Nelda Harvey

Nelda Delila Harvey was born on Nov. 23, 1928 in Cornell, Wis. to Philip and Alma (Warnberg) Stokes. She was a 1946 graduate of River Falls High School and attended WSU-RF for two years.

She married James Sparr and resided in Marshfield for a time. She moved to Ellsworth and worked as a seamstress and cleaned houses. In 1967, she began work at Vollrath Refrigeration, retiring in 1992.

In 1979, she married Wallace Harvey and lived in rural Elmwood.

Nelda enjoyed gardening, sewing, visiting the casino, and cats. She liked traveling on bus tours and even a cruise to Alaska.

She is survived by her children: Charles Sparr, Doug (Sheila) Sparr, Robin (Rick) Davis, and Larry Sparr; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three nieces. Nelda was preceded in death by her parents; sister Myrna; brother Robert; daughter Jessica; an infant grandson; and husbands James Sparr and Wallace Harvey.
