New Ace Hardware store will celebrate grand opening

ELLSWORTH – Waltz Ace Hardware is the first store owned by local resident and owner Casey Waltz. The store has been designed to reflect the needs of the Ellsworth community, including solutions to everyday home maintenance needs and an extensive array of high-quality products in categories such as paint, lawn and garden.

“Our mission is to provide customers with the neighborly advice and assistance they have come to expect from Ace,” said Waltz. “We look forward to continuing to be a helpful and valuable neighbor to the community, both inside and outside the walls of our store.”

The newly renovated store is packed with thousands of essential products and supplies, including best brand like Benjamin Moore, Craftsman, Ego, Milwaukee and Scotts to help people take care of their homes. Key product offerings include paint, lawn and garden, hardware, electrical, plumbing, automotive and home décor.

The grand opening festivities will be held Friday, April 8 through Sunday, April 10.

Morse has spent a lifetime behind grills and smokers and is now able to interact with consumers daily to help them cook better with some of the best grilling and smoking tools on the market. As the Ace Hardware National Spokesperson and BBQ Expert, Morse is proud to call Ace his culinary home. Morse helps make grilling fun, tasty and makes it easy to create bbq magic in your own backyard.

Morse is a Certified Executive Chef and member of the American Culinary Federation. He has been featured on the Food Network, national and local media segments, was a morning show chef for a Denver Radio station and currently produces the Colorado Department of Agriculture monthly recipes for local Colorado media.

Morse has been published in the Colorado Classique Junior League of Denver Cookbook, and various local publications. He works with many Colorado agricultural groups such as Colorado Farm Bureau, Colorado Beef Council, Colorado Pork Producers, Colorado Potatoes, Colorado Wool Growers Association and the Colorado Department of Agriculture. He also works with and supports groups like the Ace Foundation, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and The Colorado FFA Foundation.

Morse attended Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, S.C. and graduated summa cum laude. He was honored with the Apprenti Cuisinier award for Classic French pastry, among other prestigious culinary honors.

Waltz Ace Hardware is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
