ELLSWORTH — The Ellsworth Public Library invites the community to journey back in time with its newest history exhibit, “Lessons from the Past: A History of Our Country Schoolhouses,” now on display in the library’s historic vault gallery.
Created in partnership with the Pierce County Historical Association this exhibit celebrates the enduring legacy of the rural schoolhouses that once served the Ellsworth School District. Through a collection of historical photographs, documents, and classroom artifacts, visitors will gain a glimpse into the everyday experiences of students and teachers in one-room schoolhouses that shaped generations of learners.
The exhibit will be on view November 2025 through January 2026 and is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
Come take a step back in time and discover how education in our community began—and the lasting spirit of learning that continues to inspire today.
