Our Neighbors’ Place launches Every Need, Every Neighbor Capital Campaign

RIVER FALLS – Our Neighbors’ Place, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing supportive services to anyone struggling to meet basic needs in Pierce & St. Croix counties, is thrilled to announce a public event to kick off its capital campaign, Every Need, Every Neighbor, aimed at raising $2.4 million to construct a new, right sized building to accommodate the growing needs of ONP programs.

The event will take place 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 at Glen Park pavilion located at 361 W. Park St., River Falls. Open to anyone interested in supporting ONP and this fundraising effort, we will share the local need and the plan for the future.

“This campaign is about helping our neighbors. Our guests know that ONP and its community of supporters care about them as people. Our work starts with providing a safe, welcoming, nonjudgmental environment in which people feel comfortable asking for help. We have not forgotten that our community is only as strong as the most vulnerable among us,” said Shelly Smith, Executive Director of Our Neighbors’ Place. “We’re inviting everyone to come together, celebrate our shared values and take action to help our neighbors who are most in need of a hand up.”

Our Neighbors' Place has been meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in our community for 16 years, adjusting and adapting the programs and services we provide. In 2008, homelessness in River Falls became a community-wide priority when city officials and local churches initiated a grassroots, collaborative effort to aid those in need.
