PRESCOTT – The health and resiliency of local community members continues to be a priority for the Prescott Foundation, an affiliate of the St. Croix Valley Foundation. This month, over $156,000 has been granted to 26 organizations region wide. In the Prescott area, the following grants will directly impact local and surrounding residents: Healing Play Inc., St. Croix Valley SART Inc. and EmpowerU Program.
Healing Play Inc. will receive $1,000 toward its Fairy Wonderland Park project; $6,000 will go to Prescott School District for student needs through EmpowerU. St. Croix Valley SART Inc. received $7,500 for mental health counseling vouchers for survivors of sexual assault/abuse.
Neighbor River Falls School District received the following awards: $500 toward Mental Health Awareness/Chill Week, $6,000 for co-located mental health programming, and $6,000 for youth mental health first aid instructor training. Turningpoint for Victims of Domestic & Sexual Violence, which serves the St. Croix Valley, received $5,000 toward mental health for victims and survivors.
