Patricia “Pat” Ann Schroeder, 79, of Red Wing, Minne. and formerly of Hager City, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, surrounded by her family at the Benedictine Living Community at St. Crispin’s. She was born June 3, 1945, in Red Wing, to Arthur and Marion (Vandecar) Hernlem. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1963 and became a devoted and caring mother to her six children. She began working at St. John’s Hospital, and after 40 years of employment, retired from Fairview Red Wing. Pat was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She loved a good a game of cards, especially euchre and had played on a bowling league in her younger days. She also enjoyed watching the Game Show Network, doing puzzles and reading non-fiction and autobiographies. Pat was very supportive of her grandchildren and their activities and never missed a birthday or anniversary.
She is survived by her children, Tim (Anne) Hanson, Nikki Smith (Tim), Courtney (Adam) Snyder, Lindsay Schroeder and Will (Kari) Schroeder; nine grandchildren, Tom, Quinn, Dylan, Chase, Addie, Alyvia, Bailey, Rylie and Reggie; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Shayne and two sisters, Karen (Rich) Meier and Peggy McNabb. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Dawn Hanson and three sisters, Judy Lawrence, Mary Kimmes and Jan Tomhave.
Per Pat’s wishes, a private family service will be held and interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
