Paul Henry Denzer, 62, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024.

Born on Nov. 13, 1961, in Red Wing, Minn., Paul was the son of the late William Charles Denzer and the late Antoinette Angelina Denzer.

In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Dobroski. Paul loved many things but most important to him were his faith, his family and his country.

Paul was a devout Catholic and spent most of his life regularly attending mass. He was an avid sports fan and shareholder of the Green Bay Packers. Paul was also quite competitive and took great pride in teaching his children the card games of Euchre, Cribbage and “Denzer Spades.”

He was passionate about traveling and proudly accomplished his goal of visiting all 50 states. In his later years, he traveled to Costa Rica, where he met his beautiful wife Angela. Together they shared a wonderful life, as Angela and their two cats Aria and Alaska brought them immense joy, even as he battled difficulties with his health. The end of his life was spent the exact way he would have wanted, listening to The Rolling Stones and surrounded by his four children, whom he would tell anyone were his greatest accomplishments.

Paul is survived by his children: Derek (Teale) Denzer, Monica (Jay) Horne, Luke Denzer and Molly Denzer; grandchildren: Lillian Denzer, Emerson Denzer, Lawson Denzer, Ezra Denzer, Thea Horne and Pratt Horne; brothers: William Denzer, Michael Denzer and Joseph Denzer; and sisters, Linda Simenson and Jennie Degidts.

A memorial mass was held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Friday Nov. 15, 2024, at 5 Saint Teresa Drive, SC 29407

Locally there will be a “Celebration of Life” for Paul Denzer at “Thirsty Badger” Bar in Ellsworth, Wis. on Dec. 7, 2024 starting at 4 p.m.
