Paul Louis Larson, 83, of Bandera, Texas, formerly of Diamond Bluff, Wis. passed away on Aug. 31, 2026, due to lung and heart complications at Peterson Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Paul was born May 3, 1943, in Grand Forks, N.D. to Minard and Maureen Larson. The family moved to St. Paul, Minn. when Paul was a small child, where he spent many years of his life before moving to Diamond Bluff in 1980.

Paul was a welder by trade most of his life. He worked so many days and hours mastering his craft. Fabricating and inventing gave Paul so much joy. For example, he invented the frames for stretching leather that were then used at the SB Foot Company. He was never without a project up until his last days. He was always coming up with ways to improve productivity no matter what he was working on or making for others. What initially started as a welding shop in Diamond Bluff became a full-service garbage company called P.I.G. Paul decided to start a garbage removal business when the town dump closed. He started out with just a truck and a route, and it grew into a full-service company with many trucks, routes, cities, towns, and employees. Paul was so proud of his business and his impact on the surrounding communities. He was a self-proclaimed garbologist. The advice he gave when people would ask about running a successful business was “Don’t lie and always take care of the customer.”

One of his single greatest joys was riding motorcycles all over the country, Alaska, and Canada. Many trips with family and friends were had on his various bikes.

Paul was fearless and that helped him in all his endeavors, whether personal or professional. Paul was extremely hard-working, intelligent, responsible, and underneath his hard exterior, a very giving person to those who were close to him. He will be greatly missed.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Meta. His children: Laura (Anthony) Duran, Crystal (Lee) Fiedler, John (Betty) Baylor, and Mary (Rob) Arquette. Grandchildren: Anthony (Viviana) Perez, Mary Ashley Perez, Joseph Perez, Cole (Megan) Fiedler, Anna Fiedler, Emma Fiedler, Cara Fiedler, Harvey Paul Fiedler, Molly (Tyler) Cameron, Justin Baylor, Lilianna Arquette, and Jett Arquette. Great-grandchildren: Saul, Levi, Ava, Liam, Navie, and Autumn. Sister Linda (Denny) Deml; Sister Delila Raber; nephews Brandon & David Deml, brother John (Annie) Larson; nephew Josh Larson, niece Kayla Valentine brother-in-law Gary Floyd, nephew Tim Floyd, and niece Christa Warwick. As well as many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Minerd Larson and mother, Maureen Wendt, and his sister Carol Floyd.

In accordance with his wishes no services will be held. Instead think of this larger-than-life man with a smile and know that he is riding motorcycles in the sky.
