PCHA features Vintage Wedding Display

Posted

The Pierce County Historical Association in Bay City is hosting a vintage wedding display beginning on Sunday, July 6 at their regularly scheduled Sunday Open House from noon to 4 p.m. The display features over 20 wedding dresses from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, with photos and other artifacts from Pierce County weddings during that time. The display covers brides and grooms from all throughout the county.

This has been a labor of love for the volunteers at the PCHA and they would love to share it with the community. The planning, curating, and assembly of this display took several months.

See how wedding attire has changed over the years and look through vintage photos. You just may recognize relatives or neighbors from the past.

The PCHA is located at W6321 Main St., Bay City. This special exhibit will be available for viewing for at least a year. Open hours: First Sunday of every month from noon to 4 p.m. and every Tuesday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You can support their mission by joining the Pierce County Historical Association as a supporting member or by making a donation. You can learn more about the organization and ways to support their mission at www.PierceCountyHistorical.org.
