Philip F. Morgan, of Rochester, Minn., passed away on Sept. 8, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born in Minneapolis on July 23, 1934, Phil went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota and the Harvard School of Divinity. His life was shaped by a deep faith that remained central to him throughout the years and served as one of his deigning qualities.

Phil will be remembered with love by his wife, Marlie, his sons Jon and wife Louise of Hastings, Minn., and Chris of Minneapolis, Minn.; and his stepchildren, Shelley Wagner of Hudson, Wis.; Steve Sieckert and wife Joyce of Diamond Bluff, Wis.; Seire Rutkowski and husband Ken of Monticello, Minn. and Sheila Johnson and husband Jeff of Prescott, Wis. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Those who knew Phil will remember a man of conviction, grace and quiet strength, whose faith guided him and shaped the way he lived among others. His life was marked by devotion to what mattered most, and by the relationships he cherished.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Christ United Methodist Church, 400 Fifth Ave. SW, Rochester, MN. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 2 p.m.

Phil’s long life leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and steadfast love; he will be deeply missed.
