WAUNAKEE – During this season of giving, Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA) is proud to spotlight its 2023 service award recipients -- individuals who have sustained a commitment to music education and made a positive impact in the school, community or state.

One such individual is Prescott High School Principal Josh Fiege, recipient of the WMEA Distinguished Administrator Award. This award recognizes a school administrator who is an advocate for the importance of music in a well-rounded education. WMEA President Brad Schneider presented Fiege with the award at the annual Wisconsin State Music Conference on Oct. 25 in Madison.

As principal, Fiege ensures that students receive the best possible music education by advocating for the time, space, funding and professional development needed. The school’s music staff extend their gratitude for Fiege’s “endless hours of mentorship, leadership and patience.”
