A 2017 Ford Escape, driven by Alicanne Elizabeth Linse,

22, Maiden Rock, struck a deer at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 22 on County Road CC one-third mile north of 190th Avenue In the town of Salem. The vehicle had functional damage. Llnse wore a seat belt and reported no injuries.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 4 a.m. Jan. 28 on South Main Street 242 feet north of Park Street In River Falls between a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by

Brenna Nicole Schreiber,

21, Spring Valley, and a 2022 John Deere 444 snowplow, driven by Nathan Josiah Herum, 38, Appleton. Schreiber was traveling south on Main Street when she struck the front end loader with snowplow on the front, which was plowing snow In the southbound lane. The Santa Fe was towed due to disabling damage. The John Deere had minor damage. Schreiber and passenger

Skyler Nicole Ruetz, 24, Cumberland, wore seat belts and reported no injuries. Herum also wore a seat belt and reported no Injuries. Alcohol use was a factor In the crash; test results are pending.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 12:54 p.m. Jan. 30 on 850th Avenue one-third mile west of County Road I In the town of Gilman. A 2015 GMC Sierra, driven by Steven Allen Marek, 63, Spring Valley, was heading east on 850th Avenue when it entered the south shoulder and struck a mailbox at W3044 850th Ave. before going into the ditch. The truck struck a wire fence, causing damage to the fence. Marek said he was attempting to avoid a westbound panel truck that had crossed Into his lane, forcing him off the road to avoid collision. Marek was unable to collect a license plate from the other vehicle. The Sierra was towed out of the ditch and had functional damage. Marek wore a seat belt and reported no Injuries.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 7:42 a.m. Jan. 31 on County Road J just south of Highway 65 In the town of Trimbelle between a 2012 Ford Escape, driven by Daniel Boyd Huppert, 74, Beldenville, and a 2015 Dodge Journey, driven by Ashley Rose Blodgett,

31, Ellsworth. Huppert was operating south on Highway 65 and slowed to turn right onto County Road J. Blodgett, who was behind him, veered toward the right behind him and struck his passenger side as he was turning. Blodgett had attempted to brake, but skidded and went into the ditch after the collision. She said Huppert had braked but had no turn signal on. Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage. Both drivers wore seat belts and reported no Injuries. Blodgett was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 3 on 410th Avenue just west of US Highway 10 in the town of Hartland between a 2013 Toyota Prius, driven by Travis Ryan Stanke, 38, Eau Claire, and a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by Jason Travis Mercer, 41, Durand. Stanke was heading east on 410th Avenue and slowed to stop at Highway 10. Mercer, who was behind him, rear-ended him as he slowed to turn right. Mercer said he was looking for traffic and didn’t know Stanke had stopped. Both vehicles had minor damage. Both drivers wore seat belts and reported no Injuries.

Police were notified of a two-vehicle crash at 4:13 p.m. Feb. 3 that had occurred at 4 p.m. In the 100 block of South Main Street in Elmwood between a 2018 Ford Escape, driven by Marvin Edward Janisch,

92, Ellsworth, and a legally parked 2017 Ford Explorer, owned by Whitney J. Anderson, Spring Valley. Janisch was heading south on Main Street and struck Anderson’s vehicle when attempting to pull Into a parking space. Both vehicles had minor damage. Janisch wore a seat belt and reported no injuries.

A 2016 Dodge Journey, driven by Diane Lee Williams, 29, La Crosse, struck a deer at 10:13 p.m. Feb. 3 on County Road 0 one-quarter mile north of 570th Avenue in the town of Trimbelle. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. Williams wore a seat belt and reported no Injuries.

Deputies responded to a hit-and-run crash at 11:27 p.m. Feb. 3 in the parking lot of the Woodshed/Snap Fireworks (N1090 825th St., Hager City). A legally parked 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, owned by Alex William Snoeyenbos, Red Wing, Minn., was struck in the rear driver’s side taillight and quarter panel by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene. The crash was not captured on security footage. The truck had minor damage.
