Police responded to a single- motorcycle crash with injury at 5:21 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 on County Road S near 430th Avenue in the town of Rock Elm. Robert Ellingboe, 61, Wilson, was operating a 2006 Harley Davidson northbound on County Road S when he lost control, entered the east ditch and was thrown from the motorcycle. Elmwood Area Ambulance transported Ellingboe to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undisclosed injuries. Elmwood Area Ambulance, Elmwood Fire Department, Plum City Area Ambulance and Plum City Fire Department assisted Pierce County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 7:24 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 on US Highway 10 near County Road OO in rural Hager City between a 2021 Ford Explorer, driven by Kathryn Truttman, 40, Ellsworth, and a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Mackenzie McLeod, 21, Ellsworth. Truttman was heading west on US Highway 10 and attempting to turn south onto County Road OO when she was struck head-on by McLeod’s eastbound truck. Both vehicles entered the south ditch and came to a rest. Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service transported Truttman to River Falls Area Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
