Officers responded at 4:55 p.m. June 23 to a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 65 at County Road J in the town of Ellsworth. Gerald Pieper, 75, Ellsworth, was operating a 2011 Peterbilt fertilizer truck northbound on Highway 65 when he attempted to turn east onto County Road J. The truck rolled on its side. Pieper had to be extricated from the vehicle and transported from the scene by Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undisclosed injuries. Ellsworth Area Ambulance and Ellsworth Fire assisted PCSO at the scene.
