HUDSON – Pierce County youth anglers were well represented at last weekend's Wisconsin Bass Nation High School and Youth Tournament, showcasing both their fishing skills and sportsmanship on the water. The tournament took place on the St. Croix River, launching from Hudson.
Between Prescott Fishing Club and the Eau Galle Valley Fishing Club they had 18 student anglers competing in the event. The strong participation highlights the continued growth of youth fishing opportunities in our area and the dedication of local anglers, coaches, and families.
Congratulations to: Bill Young and Kaleb Meyer (Eau Galle), first place in youth division; Andrew Young and Landon Wiberg (Eau Galle), second youth division and biggest bass; Easton Ritter and Cooper McDonough (Prescott), third in youth division; Gavin Hildebrand and Luke Shimon (Eau Galle), second place in high school division; Trevor Lansing and Elzar Haas (Prescott), fourth in high school division.
Events like these provide young anglers with valuable outdoor experiences, teamwork opportunities, and a chance to compete at a high level while representing their communities. Pierce County continues to be well represented in Wisconsin's growing youth fishing community.
Ted Young is the head for the Eau Galle Valley club and Jesse Lansing is the head for the Prescott team.
Congratulations to all participants and best of luck throughout the remainder of the tournament season!
