Oce Reports The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office. Oct. 24-31.

Monday, Oct. 24

At 8:23 a.m., police received an anonymous call about a vehicle in the ditch near N6240 Highway 65, Beldenville. They checked the area several time but didn’t locate a vehicle.

Officers responded at 9:38 a.m. to N5481 760th St., Ellsworth for a deer laying in someone’s yard hurt. The deer was breathing but could not move. The officer dispatched it.

Police stopped at 2:55 p.m. at W7489 130th Ave., Hager City to locate a man with an outstanding warrant. He wasn’t there at the time, but police located him later and took him into custody.

At 11:52 p.m., while on patrol, an officer noticed the church doors open and lights on at N5591 170th St., Elmwood. No one was located inside the church. A parishioner responded and noted that nothing was missing that he could see.

Deputies assisted Prescott Fire at 1:01 a.m. at N6568 County Road QQ, Prescott.

Tuesday, Oct. 25

At 8:49 a.m., a caller reported items taken from a storage unit at W7858 170th Ave., Hager City. The theft occurred on Sept. 12 when multiple units were broken into.

A complainant reported a burglary at 1:02 p.m. that had occurred at W4584 113th Ave., Maiden Rock. He said he would provide police a list of missing items.

At 3:44 p.m., a property owner reported trespassing at N4743 450th St., Ellsworth. He didn’t want the suspect contacted but asked for extra patrol.

Police responded to a trespassing complaint at 5:02 p.m. at N8296 30th St., Spring Valley. A hunter was given permission to be on the property, but the land owner no longer wanted them there. The hunter was verbally warned.

A possible fire was reported at 5:14 p.m. at 137 E. Center St., Elmwood. Elmwood Fire responded and noted everything was fine.

Officers investigated suspicious activity at 5:17 p.m. at N1689 County Road VV, Hager City.

Police were called at 8:06 p.m. to the area of 570th Avenue and 1210th Street, Prescott, for pigs on the loose. The officer was able to get the pigs back into their pen and secured.

Officers responded to an animal complaint at 10:58 p.m. at W2476 County Road S, Maiden Rock. The dog was let back in for the night.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

Deputies conducted a K9 search at 10:50 a.m. at Elmwood schools (213 S. Scott St.) per the principal’s request.

Officers assisted Spring Valley police with a civil matter involving a dog at 1:29 p.m. at S219 Golfview Drive.

Thursday, Oct. 27

Officers noticed a vehicle parked at a closed business at 1:56 a.m. at W6454 Highway 35, Bay City. No one was around and the building was secure.

Deputies checked on a woman walking along the road at 7:06 a.m. near Highway 63 and 320th Avenue, Hager City. They provided her a courtesy ride to Ellsworth.

Deputies assisted River Falls police in executing a search warrant at 7:53 a.m. at 1137 Bartosh Lane.

Officers responded again at 9:27 a.m. to S219 Golfview Drive, Spring Valley, where parties were fighting over ownership of a dog. They were advised it would need to be handled in civil court.

At 10:19 a.m., a woman reported a lock that had possibly been cut off in the past few weeks at W6418 Highway 35, Bay City.

Police received a report of abandoned animals found on the property at 10:32 a.m. at W5833 County Road N, Beldenville.

At 12:42 p.m., police received a complaint from a property owner at N8539 County Road BB, Spring Valley, about overproduction of lumber and new buildings close to his home that are causing too much noise and debris. The DNR was contacted.

Police responded to a vehicle fire at 3:58 p.m. at N8451 Highway 128, Spring Valley.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a distraught woman at 11:51 p.m. at 375 W. Kinne St. She was taken to a hospital in Eau Claire.

Friday, Oct. 28

Officers checked on a vehicle in the ditch at 5:14 a.m. at Highway 65 and 820th St. near River Falls. The driver had attempted to turn around using the ditch due to his reverse being inoperable, but his tie rod end broke. He was cited for operating without a valid license.

At 9:54 a.m., police took a report of a stolen stop sign at County Road J and 690th Street, Beldenville.

Deputies performed a welfare check at 1:38 p.m. at S910 Beltline Road, Spring Valley. The woman there was fine.

A caller reported suspicious activity at 4:59 p.m. at W6629 570th Ave., Ellsworth.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a trespassing complaint at 6:23 p.m. at 229 W. Main St.

Officers, along with Ellsworth police and Ellsworth Fire responded at 7:51 p.m. to 481 W. Highland Drive, Ellsworth for a fire alarm.

Police responded at 9:33 p.m. to County Road M and 1060th Street, River Falls for a suspicious activity complaint. Nothing was located.

Saturday, Oct. 29

Police were called to a suspicious vehicle at 12:25 a.m. at 320th Street and Highway 10, Maiden Rock. The people were having car issues and waiting for help from a friend.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a domestic at 5:33 a.m. near Cairns Avenue and Evergreen Estates Street. Police found a woman and spoke with her about the incident.

At 12:14 p.m., a caller reported striking an underground powerline at N7450 690th St., Beldenville.

At 12:17 p.m., police receiving a garbage dumping complaint at N8623 County Road Y, River Falls. Police left a message for the possible suspect. The suspect didn’t return the call, but the garbage was gone the next morning.

Deputies responded to a domestic at 3:41 p.m. at N4431 1115th St., Prescott.

Officers assisted Prescott Fire at a fire at 6:57 p.m. at N4102 1080th St., Prescott.

Police responded at 10:05 p.m. to a suspicious person sighting in the area of highways 10 and 63 (west) in Ellsworth. No one was located.

Sunday, Oct. 30

A caller reported seeing a suspicious person at 2:32 a.m. at W8700 370th Ave., Hager City. The complainant said the person had made unwanted phone calls before appearing at that address. No one was located.

Police responded at 2:04 p.m. to W4815 850th Ave., Spring Valley for a missing person complaint. By the time police arrived, the two people thought to be missing had returned home.

A caller reported theft of vehicle parts and damage done to his vehicle at 2:26 p.m. at W10816 Highway 35, Prescott.

Officers responded at 3:29 p.m. to N1090 825th St., Hager City, for a concerned anonymous complaint about someone selling guns at a flea market. The owner was contacted.

At 6:22 p.m., police received word that horses had escaped and were running through fields at N8844 County Road W, River Falls. The horses were heading toward St. Croix County.

Police responded at 9:50 p.m. to W8711 570th Ave., Ellsworth for a complaint of a rifle being shot from an unknown location. Nothing was located.

Deputies were called to the scene of a hit and run at 10:04 p.m. at Highway 65 and 770th Avenue, River Falls. River Falls police were asked to watch for the vehicle, but they didn’t’ see it. Both vehicles involved were northbound when the suspect vehicle passed the other and struck the victim’s mirror.

Monday, Oct. 31

Deputies responded at 8:04 a.m. to Highway 35/1240th Street, Prescott for a dump truck fire. Officers found evidence of a fire at the intersection, but the vehicle had left.
