The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 26 through Oct. 2.
Monday, Sept. 26
Police responded at 7:07 a.m. to N6053 County Road E, River Falls, where family members found a woman unresponsive. She was deceased.
A deputy assisted Minnesota officers in arresting a person at 11:08 a.m. at W9852 290th Ave., Hager City.
A church called in a suspicious vehicle at 1:15 p.m. that had been parking in the lot at 106 W. Wilson Ave. for a while. The vehicle’s registered owner promised to remove it later that day.
A caller reported a suspicious man walking on the roadway at 11:55 p.m. near Highway 35 and 717th Street, Bay City. The man told police he was walking home from the bar. He was given a courtesy ride home.
Tuesday, Sept. 27
A caller reported a camper left on county property at 10:55 a.m. at W5440 Highway 63, Spring Valley. The owner said she would remove it. At 1:35 p.m., police responded to N2432 490th St., Maiden Rock for theft of fuel from a tractor and skid steer.
A wounded eagle was found near the road at 1:51 p.m. at Highway 128 and Partridge Avenue in Elmwood. A volunteer rescue service collected the bird.
At 3:31 p.m., a complainant reported finding a bull on his property (W3904 670th Ave., Spring Valley) about two to three weeks ago.
A tree was removed from the roadway at 4:05 p.m. at Highway 63 and 180th Avenue in Hager City.
At 4:40 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle at his property, W2267 410th Ave., Elmwood. He said nothing appeared to be missing.
At 4:47 p.m., a Martell township employee reported that people were camping overnight at the township park (W5334 Highway 63, Spring Valley). Police were asked to make contact and advise the suspects that camping is not allowed, but when they arrived, the campers were gone.
At 5:17 p.m., a caller reported that a catalytic converter had been stolen off a vehicle at N1720 County Road K, Hager City.
Wednesday, Sept. 28
Deputies responded at 12:24 a.m. to W6684 150th Ave., Bay City, for a dispute between brothers. One man was arrested on an extraditable Minnesota warrant.
Officers performed a welfare check at 8:48 a.m. at N6362 1323rd St., Prescott. The woman was calling Prescott police making odd statements. Deputies notified her family.
At 1:29 p.m., a deputy replaced a water main cap that had come apart at 982 E. Division St., River Falls.
Officers responded at 8:45 p.m. to W3527 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, for a missing man who left a bar. The wife later called back and said he made it home and left in a car in Pepin County.
Thursday, Sept. 29
Officers responded at 7:42 a.m. for an out-of-control man at 232 E. Springer Ave., Elmwood, who was trying to harm himself. He was given a ride to Eau Claire where he met his wife and entered the hospital.
Police performed a welfare check at 1:25 p.m. on a vehicle parked off the roadway near County Road BB and 750th Avenue, Spring Valley, that had a dog inside. The driver said he was waiting for his landlord to finish cutting hay in a nearby field.
Suspicious activity was reported at 8:38 p.m. at W2555 Highway 29, Spring Valley.
Friday, Sept. 30
At 4:31 a.m., a homeowner at S524 Curtis Ave., Spring Valley, reported hearing a car alarm sound off and seeing a man on his residential camera. No one was located in the area.
Deputies responded at 7:14 a.m. with Wisconsin State Patrol to a residential burglar alarm at N4690 1130th St., Prescott. The resident had set the alarm off by accident.
Officers responded at 5:20 p.m. to N8353 1251st St., River Falls, for an intoxicated woman. She was located and picked up by her mother.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:39 p.m. at N7717 County Road B, Spring Valley. Police checked the area but nothing was located.
At 7:31 p.m., deputies responded to S345 Hidden Fox Court, Spring Valley, for a possible stolen golf cart. Police didn’t locate the cart.
Officers checked on a suspicious man at 8:50 p.m. at W500 N. Second St., Spring Valley. A man was sitting in his storage unit working on a four-wheeler.
Police responded at 9:38 p.m. to W346 N. Second St., Spring Valley, for a physical domestic. A woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Deputies were called at 11:55 p.m. to a verbal domestic at N6362 1323rd St., Prescott. The parties agreed to remain calm and separate for the evening.
Saturday, Oct. 1
Officers checked on a suspicious gold van at 3:15 a.m. at a storage unit at N7804 902nd St., River Falls. The driver was the owner of the storage unit and in the process of moving.
Police were informed of a target shooting event at 11:13 a.m. being held at N8601 410th St., Spring Valley.
At 2:54 p.m., officers came across a man who had tipped his motorcycle over at highways 29 and 65. They assisted him in getting it back up. There was no damage.
Officers responded at 5:12 p.m. to Highway 63 and 825th Street in Hager City for a group of demonstrators. Police made sure the gathering remained orderly.
At 7:25 p.m., a driver struck a cow in the westbound lane of Highway 29 near County Road N, Spring Valley. A crash report will be completed.
A caller reported possible drug activity at 8:10 p.m. in the area of Wabash and Pepin streets in Bay City. No one was located.
Officers were called at 9:09 p.m. to W4070 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, for an injured dog. The owner said the dog has a bad hip and has had a limp for quite some time.
Deputies assisted River Falls Fire Department with a housefire at 9:17 p.m. at 251 Union St., River Falls.
Officers responded at 10:08 p.m. to W4194 Highway 29, Spring Valley, where a man had left a note referencing suicide. He was found to be in the custody of Baldwin police, who were briefed on the situation.
Sunday, Oct. 2
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a domestic disturbance at 2:29 a.m. at 267 E. Main St.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 12:12 p.m. at W8332 Highway 35, Hager City. State Patrol will complete the crash report.
At 1:21 p.m., a caller reported a dog running in his yard at W6678 Maple St., Bay City. Police reached the dog’s owner and told her to go get her dog.
A caller reported at 2:14 p.m. three-wheelers doing donuts near W6134 County Road J, Beldenville. The vehicles were not located.
At 2:37 p.m., a homeowner hit a gas main at N6493 1323rd St., Prescott. Prescott Fire assisted with stopping the gas leak until the gas company could come fix it.
At 2:45 p.m., a caller reported a dog had exited a window and was standing on the roof of 591 N. Maple St., Ellsworth. The owner was not home. Police led the dog back into the window and secured it.
Officers were dispatched to a dog bite at 3:54 p.m. at N1566 County Road VV, Hager City.
A woman reported hearing shooting and a loud explosion at 4:15 p.m. near highways 10 and 63. She was educated on tanerite and that’s what she believed it to be.
Police responded at 6:38 p.m. to N1090 825th St., Hager City to speak with a woman about another woman being aggressive with her at the Woodshed. The woman was trespassed from the Woodshed.
At 8:46 p.m., police responded to N1090 825th St., Hager City, for a complaint that the bartender was not licensed and possibly intoxicated.
