The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Aug. 22-29.

Monday, Aug. 22

Officers performed a welfare check on a homeless woman at 8:32 a.m. at W4857 Highway 35, Bay City. All area homeless shelters were filled, but police were able to help the woman get a refill on her medication from Red Wing. The officer picked up her prescription at Walgreen’s.

At 12:10 p.m., a caller reported a hot air balloon that landed in his field without permission at N8748 County Road F, River Falls. The caller was waiting for a call back from the balloon company.

Officers were called at 2:06 p.m. to W7634 163rd Ave., Hager City for a domestic. The female party left before police arrived.

Deputies responded at 8:45 p.m. to N6302 870th St., Ellsworth for a suspicious vehicle. The drier had a bull out and was trying to get it back in the field.

An officer checked on a vehicle parked on the side of the road at 9:30 p.m. near Highway 63 and 825th Street (south interchange), Hager City. The driver said he had stopped to feed a stray cat.

At 9:33 p.m., a caller reported someone shotting near W5833 County Road N, Beldenville. The homeowner denied shooting to upset his neighbors. He was advised to keep the noise down.

At 11:27 p.m., police checked on a vehicle parked in the lane of traffic at Kimberly Circle and Greenwood Valley Drive, Rier Falls, because a male was running away from the vehicle. A group of young people said they were timing how fast they could run.

Tuesday, Aug. 23

A complainant flagged an officer down at 12:13 a.m. near County Road EE and Highway 35, Bay City, and reported a hit and run crash near Dollar General. A vehicle had hit the guardrail and fled. Police found the crash site, but not the suspect vehicle.

Officers responded to a hit and run crash at 1:01 a.m. at Highway 65 and 770th Avenue, River Falls. The complainant said she had swerved to miss a deer and was then rear-ended by the vehicle behind her. When she pulled over, the striking vehicle fled the scene.

At 6:50 a.m., police located cattle that were out near 610th Street and Highway 63, Ellsworth. They were unable to locate a missing mule.

Officers met with Human Services, Public Health and a building inspector at 7:11 a.m. to attempt contact with a man at N1787 150th St., Plum City regarding his living conditions. He allowed the building inspector to look around.

A driver was arrested for OWI-second at 5 p.m. near Cemetery Road and Highway 65 in River Falls. A complainant had reported the vehicle for driving on the shoulder and crossing the center line.

Police responded at 8:25 p.m. to W8950 759th Ave., River Falls for an out-of-control male, who was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct after an investigation.

Wednesday, Aug. 24

Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in between storage units at 1:53 a.m. near Pine Ridge and Dexter Street in Prescott. Everything was okay.

At 9:03 a.m., police took a fraud report at the sheriff’s office. An Ellsworth man had been told his credit cards were compromised and was instructed to buy gift cards to cancel out the transactions. Money had been exchanged.

Deputies responded to a disorderly conduct complaint at 4:52 p.m. at S425 Church Ave., Spring Valley. Police spoke to two parties who were separated after a disagreement. No further action was taken.

Police were called to a crash at 5:24 p.m. near W821 890th Ave., Spring Valley. A trailer had come unhooked from a vehicle and gone into the ditch. There was no damage.

A driver was arrested for OWI-fourth after a driving complaint received at 9:37 p.m. near Wasson Lane and Cemetery Road.

Thursday, Aug. 25

Deputies were called at 4:07 a.m. to 636 Hilton St., Prescott for an unresponsive woman. A man at the scene was arrested for multiple warrants while the woman was transported to the hospital. Multiple charges for her were forwarded to the district attorney.

Officers chased a cow back into its fence at 5:14 a.m. near N5830 County Road BB, Ellsworth.

Police checked on a woman sitting on a parking block who appeared to be in distress at 6:55 p.m. at the wayside rest (W4857 Highway 35, Bay City). She told police she’s been camping along the river. The officer gave her several information resources, but she didn’t want any help.

Officers were called at 7:49 p.m. to W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley, where people were setting up a camper but hadn’t come inside to pay for the site rental. Police called the registered owner, who said she had sold it to two young men some time ago. Officers decided to keep trying to contact the current owner( s).

Friday, Aug. 26

A BNSF railroad employee reported a man walking along the tracks at 3:23 p.m. near Highway 35 and 113th Avenue, Maiden Rock. Police didn’t locate anyone.

Officers responded at 7:09 p.m. to W5833 County Road N, Beldenville for a possible trespassing complaint. Multiple parties said they were retrieving property from the woods and were in the process of moving out.

Saturday, Aug. 27

At 1:22 a.m., police stopped a vehicle for expired registration near Highway 35 and 830th Street, Hager City. Due to smelling marijuana, the vehicle was searched. The driver was arrested for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia. The passenger was arrested for possession of a firearm by a felon.

Deputies assisted Prescott police with a possible domestic at 5:58 a.m. at 557 Walnut St.

Officers assisted EMS with an injured man at 1:32 p.m. at W5516 690th Ave., Beldenville.

At 1:43 p.m., police located multiple people inside private property rock hunting at N1891 830th St., Hager City. All parties were identified and they will be cited by mail.

At 3:10 p.m., police recovered a stolen vehicle from Goodhue County at 636 Hilton St., Prescott. Police also found multiple drug paraphernalia items in the vehicle, along with the suspect’s mail. Charges were forwarded to the district attorney.

Officers responded to a trespassing complaint at 5:41 p.m. at N8634 County Road Y, River Falls. The suspect will be mailed a trespassing citation.

A caller reported a large tree covering the entire roadway at 6:28 p.m. at Highway 65 and 790th Street, Beldenville. The township was contacted for removal.

A tree was reported down in the roadway at 6:38 p.m. near Highway 10 and 860th Street, Ellsworth.

A caller reported a downed tree in the road at 8:28 p.m. at County Road C and 490th Avenue, Ellsworth. The township removed the tree.

At 11:53 p.m., officers responded for a downed tree and possible power lines across the roadway at N8347 710th St., River Falls. The township removed the tree.

Sunday, Aug. 28

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle at 1:17 a.m. at N1689 County Road VV, Hager City. The vehicle wasn’t located.

Officers removed a tree from the road at 10:03 a.m. at W2337 690th Ave., Spring Valley.

Police checked the area at 2:02 p.m. near Highway 29 and County Road E, River Falls, where a caller said a man and child were begging for money. They were not located.

Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injury at 9:48 p.m. at Highway 10 and 530th Avenue, Hager City. An ambulance took three people to River Falls Area Hospital with undisclosed injuries. EMS took another person to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Wisconsin State Patrol conducted crash reconstruction.

Monday, Aug. 29

Police responded to a vehicle partially in the ditch at 12:59 a.m. near 290th Street and County Road S, Plum City. Police couldn’t reach the registered owner, so a tow was called.
