December 21 5:11 a.m.

A car vs. deer accident was reported near the intersection of 620th St. and Hwy. 29 in River Falls.

7:25 a.m.

A car vs. deer accident was reported on Cty. Tk. P in Elmwood.

8:28 a.m.

A complainant on 875th Ave. in River Falls reported finding their vehicle damaged but were not sure where the accident occurred.

Deputies were requested to assist Ellsworth PD with a welfare check. The address was found to be in Ellsworth, MN.

11:45 a.m.

A suspicious package left on a complainant’s car on 695th Ave. in Prescott was reported. The complainant stated he found a box with his name on it sitting on the roof of his car when he woke up.

5:25 p.m.

A car vs. deer accident was reported in River Falls near the intersection of 742nd Ave. and Cty. Tk. F.

6:46 p.m.

A car vs. deer accident was reported near the intersection of 570th Ave. and Cty. Tk. O in Ellsworth. The deer was deceased upon arrival.

10:09 p.m.

Three drivers were stopped and cited for speed near the intersection of 1005th St. and Hwy. 35 in Hager City.

11:08 p.m.

A vehicle fled after a stop was attempted to be stopped for no registration plates. The vehicle was spiked, and the occupants were apprehended near the intersection of Cty. Tk. OO and Hwy. 35 in Hager City. The driver was arrested for Fleeing Police and two Extradition Warrants. The driver was also cited for THC and traffic offenses. The passenger was cited for THC.

Seven controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 22 8:48 a.m.

Pierce County Highway Department reported two ATV’s trespassing in the County-owned sand pit in Hager City. Contact was made with two drivers and one parent. They were advised of the complaint and told not to go back onto the property.

11:44 a.m.

Information was received about an issue with manure on the roadway of Cty. Tk. P in Elmwood. Contact was attempted but not successful at the residence.

6:14 p.m.

Gift packages were delivered for the Shop with a Cop program.

9:29 p.m.

A winter weather advisory was issued in Pierce County.

11:48 p.m.

Deputies responded to Cty. Tk. N in Beldenville for a harassment complaint. Statements and photographs were collected.

Four controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. December 23 1:03 a.m.

A car vs. deer accident was reported in Beldenville near the intersection of Hwy. 65 and 610th Ave. The deer was not located to be dispatched.

8:43 a.m.

Referencing a burglary reported on December 17th, the victim on 770th St. in Hager City advised that he had coins stolen in the burglaries and a possible suspect was at the bank attempting to cash the coins. After meeting with the complainants and bank personnel, it was not believed to be the same monies from the burglary.

9:05 a.m.

A report was taken of possible fraud from Cty. Tk. C in Bay City.

3:55 p.m.

A vehicle was reported down in a ravine near the intersection of 840th St. and Cty. Tk. K. No driver was present.

9:53 p.m.

A vehicle was observed on the side of the road pulling into different addresses. Contact was made with the driver, who stated he was lost. He was assisted with directions.

Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 24 2:24 p.m.

A pickup vs. street sign accident was reported near the intersection of Main St. and May Ave. in Elmwood. The vehicle and driver were located. The driver admitted to hitting the sign and was willing to pay for damages.

5:05 p.m.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident with possible injury near the intersection of Cty. Tk. EE and Hwy. 35 in Bay City. The female driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and released to EMS.

5:25 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Cty. Tk. O and 640th Ave. in Ellsworth for a one-vehicle rollover accident with no injuries or road blockage. The subject stated they were rounding a corner and lost control.

5:56 p.m.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle slide-in with no injury near the intersection of 170th St. and Hwy. 10. Minor damage was done to the vehicle when it was being removed by the requested tow service. Field sobriety was performed, and the driver was not intoxicated.

10:15 p.m.

River Falls PD and Pierce County Jail staff were assisted with an uncooperative inmate.

10:25 p.m.

Underage drinking was anonymously reported at a residence on 830th St. in Hager City. Deputies inspected the property and could view the house from the roadway. No large gathering or subjects drinking were observed.

11:17 p.m.

A report was received of a possible burglary in progress. After arriving on scene at 420th St. in Maiden Rock, no vehicles or persons were located. The entire property was checked, and no signs of forced entry were found, and nothing seemed to be missing.

December 25 12:07 a.m.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of 840th St. and Cty. Tk. F in River Falls. Once on scene, no injuries were determined but there was vehicle damage. The driver was ultimately arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense and issued a citation for Failure to Control the Vehicle.

1:11 a.m.

Recent track marks were observed coming from a property that had been recently burglarized on Hwy. 35 in Hager City. The property was checked, and no signs of forced entry were found.

8:21 a.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to an address on 831st St. in Hager City for a burglary. Property was damaged and items were stolen. Information was collected.

7:00 p.m.

A missing dog was reported on 640th Ave. in Prescott.

9:24 p.m.

A driver was stopped for speed near the intersection 747th St. and Hwy. 35 in Hager City. The driver was issued citations for Speeding, Operating After Revocation and Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device.

Two controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. December 26 7:52 a.m.

Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious male near a residence in the 200 block of S. Woodman St. in Elmwood. The subject was located. Upon gaining information, it was determined that he was out on a felony bond case through Saint Croix County as well as being revoked. A short chase later occurred. 2:33 p.m.

Deputies responded to 710th St. in River Falls for a dumping complaint. Subjects had dumped a plastic pail of rocks along with a canvas bag of rocks. 5:16 p.m.

Deputies responded to Pine St. in Bay City for a suspicious activity complaint. The complainant advised he had multiple items moved within his residence. After arriving on scene, information was collected. Everything appeared fine. There were no signs of forced entry.

14 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. December 27 12:41 a.m.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 920th St. and Hwy. 65 in River Falls for a driving complaint. An anonymous complainant stated the suspect vehicle operated left of center and drove in the wrong lane of traffic. The suspect vehicle was located, and the driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense.

6:59 a.m.

An injured deer in the roadway was dispatched near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and Cty. Tk. S in Maiden Rock.

8:46 a.m.

A report was taken of a dog bite on 710th Ave. in River Falls. Quarantine paperwork was issued, and a report was completed and forwarded to Public Health.

9:40 a.m.

A vehicle was located in the ditch on 690th Ave. near Hwy. 63 in Beldenville. The vehicle struck a highway sign. A citation was mailed to the driver for Driving Too Fast for Conditions.

4:25 p.m.

A report was taken for a theft of a trail camera and a pressure washer, which was stolen from inside of a shed at an address on Hwy. 35 in Hager City.

4:46 p.m.

A complainant reported footprints around the property on 831st St. in Hager City. Extra patrol was requested due to previous theft history. Two sets of tracks were found around the property.

9:02 p.m.

Deputies responded to the area of 180th Ave. in Hager City following a driving complaint where the person was doing burnouts in their vehicle. The area was checked and no vehicles were found.

Five controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
