December 5 5:41 p.m.

A fight in progress was reported on 290th Ave. in Hager City at a bar. No one wanted to write a statement and no injuries were reported.

22 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 6 1:47 a.m.

A disorderly female was reported on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock. Contact was made with the suspect at the establishment she was at. The business just requested her to leave. She was given a courtesy ride to a friend’s house.

5:27 a.m.

A one-vehicle rollover with injury was reported near the intersection of 825th St. and Hwy. 63 in Hager City. The driver was located and evaluated by Red Wing EMS. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense and the vehicle was removed by tow.

8:41 a.m.

A driver was stopped for a failure to yield the right-ofway in Spring Valley near the intersection of Hwy. 29 and Hwy. 63 S. 2:56 p.m.

A harassment complaint was received from an address on Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. A person was reported to be harassing him via calls/texts at late hours and he would like it to stop. 3:14 p.m.

Deputies responded to the 100 block of W. May Ave. in Elmwood for a report of assault. Deputies arrived on scene and information was collected, along with statements and photographs. The parties were separated.

3:48 p.m.

A report was received of a vehicle that drove over a fixedblade bayonet that stuck to the car on Hwy. 29 in River Falls.

6:56 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped for failure to dim high beams. The smell of marijuana was noticed coming from the vehicle. The juvenile driver’s father was contacted and came to where the driver was stopped near the intersection of 320th Ave. and Hwy. 63 in Hager City. 8:39 p.m.

While patrolling the area of Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City, a security check was performed on a business. Contact was made with a key holder in regard to some concerns that were observed.

18 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 7 2:42 a.m.

A suspicious vehicle was parked in a non-common location on 387th St. in Ellsworth. The building and all entry points appeared secure. 3:49 a.m.

An unoccupied car was located with a rear door open on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock. An unsecure door was found at the business. The building was cleared, and nobody was located. A keyholder was contacted about the unsecure door. 8:09 a.m.

A dumping complaint was received from 1040th St. in River Falls. Someone dumped two plastic garbage bags containing aluminum beer cans. The complainant recycled the cans. 8:52 a.m.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth PD and Ellsworth FD at a semi-trailer fire in the 500 block of W. Lucas Ln. 12:47 p.m.

A complainant reported someone possibly tried to break into her mom’s house a few nights prior. Extra patrol was requested on Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. 1:42 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to 770th Ave. in Spring Valley for a possible burglary. The complainant reported someone cut the lock to the front gate and drove into the property overnight. It was unknown if anything was taken at that time. 2:13 p.m.

Debris was removed from the roadway near the intersection of Cty. Tk. J and Hwy. 63 in Spring Valley.

7:14 p.m.

A call was received of a possible intoxicated driver. Contact was made with the vehicle in question near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and Hwy. 63 in Hager City. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense.

7:40 p.m.

Ellsworth PD was assisted as needed in the 500 block of Vincent Ln.

Nine controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 8 4:08 a.m.

A car vs. deer accident was reported on Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. Upon arrival, the male had cut off the head and stated he was just taking the head. Information was passed on to the Warden. The head was confiscated and turned over to the DNR. The male was advised he would be receiving a citation from the warden. 2:21 p.m.

A suspicious person was reported on 295th Ave. in Hager City after a male with black hair and a mustache wearing painter’s clothes had come to the front door of a residence and asked for a parent before leaving on foot.

5:57 p.m.

Deputies responded to 1250th St. in Prescott for a report of multiple vehicles at a storage unit. Upon arrival, a subject in a car stated an area business was hosting high school wrestling practice.

7:41 p.m.

A fireworks complaint was received near the intersection of 825th St. and 831st St. in Hager City.

10:39 p.m.

A Deputy assisted Ellsworth PD in trying to locate a male involved in a threats complaint in the 400 block of E. Wall St. The area was checked for the suspect’s vehicle, but it was not located.

Five controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 9 5:18 a.m.

A driver was stopped near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and 468th St. in Prescott for speed and following to closely. The driver was issued a citation for passing in a no passing zone.

11:38 a.m.

A school bus vs. car accident with no injury was reported near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and S. Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City.

1:48 p.m.

Deputies responded near the intersection of 950th Ave. and Lilac Ave. in River Falls for a one-vehicle rollover accident with no injuries. 4:02 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on 535th St. in Spring Valley for a dog that jumped the fence and jumped on a female walking by. There were no marks that broke skin.

4:18 p.m.

An escaped cow was observed near the roadway on Cty. Tk. QQ in Prescott. The owner was notified, and the animal was returned.

11:58 p.m.

A suspicious vehicle was observed at the Warrentown Overlook on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock. The driver stated he was watching for the northern lights.

Eight controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 10 5:35 a.m.

A car vs. raccoon accident was reported near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and 375th Ave. in Prescott.

10:11 a.m.

Deputies responded to Hager City near the intersection of 1005th St. and Hwy. 35 for a vehicle that struck a highway truck that was parked in a construction zone. A citation was mailed for inattentive driving. 11:15 a.m.

While at a traffic accident near the intersection of 1005th St. and Hwy. 35 in Hager City, a driver failed to stop for a flagger in a construction zone. A citation was issued for failure to stop for a construction zone stop sign.

12:02 p.m.

Deputies responded to 637th Ave. in Ellsworth for a warrant attempt. The subject was located and taken into custody.

1:57 p.m.

Deputies responded to 757th Ave. near Cty. Tk. F in River Falls for a one-vehicle crash with no damage. Scene investigation determined that the driver was under the influence of drugs and he was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense. The vehicle was later removed.

2:33 p.m.

A caller on Cty. Tk. G in Ellsworth reported being harassed by a customer.

3:43 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped after a driver known to not be valid driving was witnessed on 785th St. in Hager City. The driver was cited for Operating Without License.

4:45 p.m.

A caller in Spring Valley wanted statements that were made during an April town board meeting documented because he felt they were threatening.

4:48 p.m.

Attempted fraud was reported on Cemetery Rd. in Bay City. 9:59 p.m.

A complaint was received of an individual shooting from the road on 290th Ave. in Hager City. No vehicle was located upon arrival. 10:37 p.m.

A complainant reported that someone posed as an acquaintance on social media and was asking for money. She didn’t provide any information. Some suggestions were provided on how to secure her social media pages and to be careful of scams.

Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 11 3:32 p.m.

A complainant called to report that someone had dumped some tires and a couch in the ditch off of 770th Ave. in Spring Valley some time in April. 6:04 p.m.

Deputies responded to 850th Ave. in River Falls for a report of a disorderly subject. Deputies arrived on scene and collected information and photographs. The subject was allowed to stay at the residence as long as he stopped drinking and went to sleep.

11:03 p.m.

Deputies assisted Prescott PD as needed near the intersection of 620th Ave. and Hwy. 10.

Nine controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 12 12:31 a.m.

A suspicious vehicle was checked on at a business on Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley.

12:57 a.m.

A black Chrysler 300 with no plates parked partially on the roadway near the intersection of Foote Ave. and Iron St. in Spring Valley was reported.

2:02 a.m.

A driver was stopped and cited for speed near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City. 10:22 a.m.

A complainant reported finding a shirt in the woods behind his house while hunting on 270th Ave. in Ellsworth. He reported that he thought it might have blood on it. Upon arrival, the shirt appeared to have fade marks, not blood. The shirt was disposed of.

12:01 p.m.

Deputies responded near the intersection of Cty. Tk. A and Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock for a damage to property complaint. The suspect left in a black colored Chevy Tahoe.

4:41 p.m.

Deputies responded to 170th Ave. in Hager City for a storage unit that had been broken into within the past month. Items had been taken. Statements and photographs were collected. 10:57 p.m.

A driver was stopped and cited for speed near the intersection of Cty. Tk. QQ and Hwy. 35 in Prescott. The driver was warned for no proof of insurance.

Nine controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

December 13 12:01 a.m.

A driver was stopped and cited for speed near the intersection of Cty. Tk. QQ and Hwy. 29 in Prescott. The driver was also warned for not having a license on his person and no proof of insurance.
