October 26 4:34 a.m.

A Deputy was dispatched to a car vs. deer crash with no injury near the intersection of Cty. Tk. A and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. 7:19 a.m.

A car vs. deer accident with no injury was reported in River Falls near the intersection of 760th Ave. and Hwy. 65. 7:56 a.m.

A burglary was reported at an address on Cty. Tk. S in Plum City. Video gaming machines were broken, and money was taken. Photographs, statements and evidence were collected. 8:29 a.m.

Fraud was reported on 300th Ave. in Hager City. The complainant informed the Deputy that someone cancelled their driver’s license.

11:13 a.m.

A white highland calf was reported lost from an address on 170th St. in Plum City.

Two controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 27 Security/perimeter checks were performed at 13 area businesses. Everything appeared to be fine.

6:14 a.m.

A Deputy responded to a deceased deer in the roadway near the intersection of Cty. Tk. O and Hwy. 35 in Hager City. Upon arrival, the Highway Department was called to assist with getting the deer off the roadway.

7:21 a.m.

Dispatch received a report of an injured swan in the 1100 block of W. Industrial Rd. in Elmwood. The DNR was notified of the bird after the complainant said it flew off. 8:41 a.m.

Harassment via Facebook was reported from 130th Ave. in Hager City.

11:35 a.m.

A report was received of a possibly stolen crossbow from an address on Cty. Tk. G in Ellsworth. The crossbow was located from a previous found property card. The crossbow and contents were placed in safekeeping.

3:09 p.m.

Deputies responded to a suspicious activity complaint in Hager City near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and Hwy. 63. No violations were observed after following the vehicle.

5:42 p.m.

A Deputy was dispatched to Ellsworth for a driving complaint of a vehicle that pulled into a gas station near the intersection of 800th St. and Hwy. 10. A vehicle matching the description was seen leaving the gas station, but no bad driving conduct was observed. The vehicle was lost as the Deputy attempted to follow it through town. 8:41 p.m.

Deputies responded to Cty. Tk. N in Beldenville for a disorderly subject. The parties agreed to separate for the evening.

Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 28 4:08 a.m.

Deputies were dispatched to 640th Ave. in Ellsworth after a report was received that someone was shining lights in the complainant’s windows. After arriving on scene, there were no footprints in the snow around the property and everything appeared fine. 11:22 a.m.

A driver was stopped on top of the Hager Hill in Hager City and issued a citation for speeding.

12:47 p.m.

A driver was stopped for suspicious activity near the intersection of Cemetery Rd. and Hwy. 65 in River Falls. 1:31 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Bay City near the intersection of 590th St. and Cty. Tk. V for a car vs. pig accident.

Five controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 29 9:05 a.m.

A driver was stopped near the intersection of 1170th St. and Hwy. 10 in Prescott and issued a citation for speeding.

11:00 a.m.

A Deputy was dispatched to Beldenville on Hwy. 65 for a suspicious person digging through a dumpster. A vehicle was located disabled on the way to the scene. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense and given citations.

12:34 p.m.

Deputies were called to assist the Prescott PD with a K9 search on a traffic stop near the intersection of Flora St. and Kinnickinnic St. in Prescott. The K9 alerted on the vehicle.

1:12 p.m.

Deputies assisted Prescott PD on a sniff of a vehicle parked on a public street near the intersection of Vine St. and Walnut St. No alert.

2:36 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to an address on 742nd Ave. in River Falls for a possible fraud complaint of missing checkbooks. One check was reported to have been cashed. Report to follow.

2:53 p.m.

A check was believed to have been stolen from a mailbox on 350th Ave. in Ellsworth and modified. Two checks were written on the account. See report.

3:53 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Prescott near the intersection of 1110th St. and Hwy. 10 for a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arrival, it was learned the vehicle hit a no passing sign. The driver was cited for inattentive driving.

5:20 p.m.

A Deputy responded to Ellsworth near the intersection of 450th St. and 465th Ave. to check on an abandoned vehicle. After speaking with the landowner, the person was hunting and had permission to be on the land.

6:04 p.m.

Deputies responded to Spring Valley near the intersection of Cty. Tk. B and Hwy. 128 to check for a loose cow near the roadway. Upon arrival, the homeowner stated he had already recovered his animals and did not need assistance.

7:15 p.m.

A complainant on N. Sabin Ave. in Spring Valley stated he was scammed $200 when someone over the phone told him to pay that amount of money or he would face criminal charges. The complainant was advised not to answer calls like that. 10:29 p.m.

Two brown pit bulls were reported missing from an address on 690th Ave. in Beldenville. \October 30 12:28 a.m.

Deputies and Ellsworth PD responded to the Sheriff’s Office in the 500 block of Overlook Dr. in Ellsworth for a male acting strangely on the property. A subject who had just been released had attempted to enter a restricted area and take money. The suspect was spoken to. See report.

2:30 a.m.

A Deputy was dispatched to check on a bar on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock that was reported to be open after 2:00 a.m. Nobody was located at the bar. A security check was performed, and all was well.

9:31 a.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Cty. Tk. A in Maiden Rock for a possible theft. The complainant reported a John Deer zero turn riding lawn mower was being loaned to a subject at the residence and at that time it was missing.

3:33 p.m.

Deputies responded to Hwy. 10 in Prescott for a report of a FedEx truck in the ditch. The vehicle had no damage. The subject was able to get out of the ditch on their own.

7:07 p.m.

A complainant on Cty. Tk. W in River Falls reported they’d placed an outgoing item in their mailbox, but someone must have stolen it. The post office never received it. There were no suspects, descriptions or footage.

7:45 p.m.

Deputies responded near the intersection of 1015th St. and Cty. Tk. FF in River Falls to check the area for a makeshift tent in the woods. Trails were checked in the area, but it was not located. Contact attempted with the anonymous complainant was unsuccessful.

9:28 p.m.

Deputies responded to 825th St. in Hager City for a possible vehicle theft. Contact was made with the property owner, who stated he thought the vehicle had been abandoned and subsequently had it removed.

10:52 p.m.

A traffic stop was attempted on a vehicle near the intersection of 770th Ave. and Hwy. 65 in River Falls. The motorcycle failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated. The motorcycle was later stopped, and the driver was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense, Fleeing and Operating After Revocation.

21 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 31 10:19 a.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Prescott near the intersection of 570th Ave. and Cty. Tk. QQ for trash that was dumped on the side of the road. A subject was spoken to that said the trash came from his house, but he denied dumping it there.

12:35 p.m.

Deputies were requested to speak with a subject on Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City in regard to theft of a political sign.

12:53 p.m.

A complainant on 720th Ave. in River Falls reported having seven new orange driveway markers taken. The markers taken were replaced with old driveway markers that were grey colored. The caller wanted authorities aware that someone had been on the property.

8:34 p.m.

A Deputy stopped to check on a suspicious female walking near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and 1180th St. in Prescott. She was a resident of the area just out for a walk.

8:52 p.m.

A Deputy was dispatched near the intersection of 850th St. and Hwy. 29 in River Falls to a report of a lifted, white, Chevy Silverado with blue LED headlights that may have been throwing items from their vehicle at oncoming vehicles, causing damage. See report.

Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

November 1 2:10 a.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to the 600 block of Main St. in Plum City following a report of suspicious activity. Contact was made with two individuals attempting to sleep in the cemetery. They were escorted to a park and ride to stay for the evening.

3:29 a.m.

Two security/perimeter checks were performed at businesses on Main St. in Plum City. Everything appeared to be secure. 11:41 a.m.

A tree was reported to be blocking part of the roadway near the intersection of 1200th St. and Hwy. 35 in Prescott. Information was passed on to the town chair.

1:55 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Spring Valley near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and 814th Ave. for a deceased eagle. The DNR was contacted and handled the call. 2:20 p.m.

Several tree limbs were removed from the roadway near the intersection of 810th Ave. and Cty. Tk. W in River Falls.
