October 19 4:05 a.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to Bay City near the intersection of Maple St. and Oak Hill after a gray car was acting suspiciously and drove away at a high rate of speed. The caller was advised to call dispatch if the vehicle returned, as the vehicle may also be the suspect vehicle of numerous suspicious activity calls in Ellsworth and River Falls.

6:41 a.m.

A rear-end accident was reported in Prescott near the intersection of 1240th St. and Hwy. 35 in Prescott. 11:17 a.m. Deputies assisted with a funeral escort from Ellsworth to Prescott. 3:08 p.m.

A Deputy responded to an address on Cty. Tk. V in Ellsworth for possible fraud.

7:37 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped in Spring Valley near the intersection of 450th St. and Hwy. 29 for operating left of center and a defective brake lamp. The driver did not have a valid license and was not able to get ahold of anyone to pick up the vehicle. A tow was requested to remove the vehicle.

8:59 p.m.

A report of gunshots was received in the area of Cty. Tk. E in River Falls. Nothing out of the ordinary was located and no gun shots were heard upon investigation.

11:19 p.m.

A number on 770th Ave. in Spring Valley texted “Yo” on an emergency hotline. The complainant was spoken with and advised to only contact that number when there is an emergency.

17 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 20 10:22 a.m.

An unwanted subject was reported on 1160th St. in River Falls.

10:53 a.m.

A driver was stopped on Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley and verbally warned for a stop sign violation, failure to yield the right of way and

speeding. 11:14 a.m.

A report was received that a tire was slashed at an address on 1160th St. in River Falls. The complainant reported being in the process of an eviction and believed that subject did the damage to the tire.

1:43 p.m.

An accident with property damage was reported in Spring Valley near the intersection of Hwy. 29 and Hwy. 63 N.

1:53 p.m.

A one-vehicle accident was reported in Ellsworth near the intersection of Hill St. and Hwy. 10. 1:54 p.m.

Deputies responded to the intersection of 400th St. and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth for a onevehicle rollover with no injuries. The vehicle was towed.

2:07 p.m.

Deputies stood by with traffic control near the intersection of Hwy. 65 and Cty. Tk. W in River Falls for two semis that were stuck on the hill.

2:42 p.m.

Deputies were called to Spring Valley near the intersection of 799th Ave. near Hwy. 63 for a UPS truck vs. stop sign accident with no injury.

3:15 p.m.

A two-vehicle accident with no injury was reported in Hager City near the intersection of Hwy. 10 and 1090th St. 5:11 p.m.

Debris was removed from the roadway on Cty. Tk. EE in Bay City.

5:35 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock for a tree on a power line that was on fire. The power went out and stopped the fire before the power company was notified and responded.

Five controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 21 3:26 a.m.

A one-vehicle crash without injury was reported in River Falls near the intersection of 660th St. and Hwy. 29. 8:40 a.m.

A complainant on 514th Ave. in Ellsworth reported their brother had come to their residence sometime the previous day while they were not home. The brother had made pancakes and punched a hole in an interior wall of the residence. The complainant did not want anything done.

8:38 p.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to an address on 690th St. in River Falls for a theft complaint. An anonymous complainant stated his political signs were stolen and identified a possible suspect. Contact was made with the suspect, and he called the complainant to apologize. The signs were returned at a later time.

Four controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 22 11:22 a.m.

A stolen 1985 V65 Magna motorcycle was recovered in Hager City and picked up by the owner. 11:53 a.m. A Deputy was dispatched for a vehicle crossing the center line and did not stop for a stop sign. Contact was made with the driver near the intersection of 320th St. and Hwy. 10 in Maiden Rock. The driver said they were having problems because of the road conditions. No signs of impairment were detected, and a verbal warning was given.

5:07 p.m.

Deputies responded for a two-vehicle crash with no injuries near the intersection of 1st St. and Hwy. 10 in Plum City.

6:45 p.m.

Suspicious activity was reported on Cty. Tk. M in River Falls.

10:25 p.m.

Burglary was reported on 750th St. in Beldenville.

Two controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 23 12:18 p.m.

A report was taken from the Village of Bay City about a sign and post that was taken down near the intersection of 5th St. and Pepin St.

5:53 p.m.

Deputies responded to the area of Chester St. in Maiden Rock for a crossing arm that had fallen off the bracket and was laying in the railroad crossing. The arm was removed to open up the crossing. The railroad company was contacted about the issue.

6:17 p.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to 890th Ave. in River Falls for loose sheep on a property. It was discovered the sheep had left but later found their way back to the barn.

6:19 p.m.

Deputies responded to the area of 135th Ave. in Bay City for a vehicle driving on private property. The vehicle was located with foot tracks that appeared to go to the woods before returning to the roadway. The driver was eventually located. The driver stated that he had permission from the Village to be out there.

Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 24 2:53 a.m.

A vehicle was stopped on 825th St. in Hager City for almost striking a bridge rail. A field test was conducted, and the driver was picked up by a sober party.

3:37 a.m.

A Deputy was requested to check Hwy. 65 for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run accident in River Falls. The vehicle was not located.

4:39 a.m.

Deputies were dispatched to an audible business alarm called in by an alarm company on 387th St. in Ellsworth. Upon arrival, no alarm was observed, all doors were secure, and no vehicles were seen leaving the area. It appeared as though it was a false alarm. Deputies later responded to a second alarm where a burglary was in progress. The suspect was apprehended.

8:55 a.m.

Dispatch was called by a tow company to report an accident that occurred the previous night near the intersection of 1015th St. and Cty. Tk. FF in River Falls. The driver of the vehicle was cited for Failure to Report an Accident and Failure to Maintain Control of Vehicle.

9:31 a.m.

A complainant reported receiving harassing phone calls from an ex-coworker. A Deputy responded to the suspect’s address and asked that he stop contacting the subject and advised him that citations or charges could be brought against him if he continued.

6:00 p.m.

A Deputy was dispatched to Ellsworth near the intersection of 640th Ave. and 950th St. for a vehicle parked along the road with no plates. Contact was made with the subject, who was hunting, and the vehicle was registered.

6:18 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on 367th St. in Maiden Rock for people cutting trees down on their property. It was determined that the trees were in the road right-away and the possible suspects stated they had permission from the Town Chair.

8:12 p.m.

Information was received about a possible intoxicated driver. The vehicle was located and stopped. The female driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense and released to a responsible party.

9:26 p.m.

A report of a suspicious vehicle was received on 390th Ave. in Ellsworth.

15 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

October 25 12:32 p.m.

A complainant notified Deputies that he would be going door-to-door for political reasons in case somebody called in a complaint.

4:57 p.m.

A smell of gas was reported to be coming from the heaters on the railroad track on Main St. in Bay City. The railroad company was notified.

5:51 p.m.

A driver was stopped and cited for speed in Beldenville near the intersection of 690th Ave. and Hwy. 63.
