October 12 3:17 a.m.
Deputies responded to a structure fire on Cty. Tk. BB in Spring Valley. Upon arrival, they assisted as needed. The fire did not appear suspicious in nature.
6:55 a.m.
A Deputy was requested to check on a suspicious silver enclosed box trailer that was found parked at the Martell Hwy. shop on 800th Ave. The owner was contacted, who determined that it had been stolen from his son’s driveway the previous night.
7:13 a.m.
Deputies were dispatched to an address on Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City for a missing person. The caller was spoken with and information was gathered. While searching, the subject came out of a wooded area.
8:04 a.m.
A dog was found on Hwy. 29 in River Falls.
11:12 a.m.
Deputies responded to an address on 170th Ave. in Hager City for an elderly female who fell. Red Wing EMS transported the subject.
3:00 p.m.
A wheelchair was illegally dumped in the ditch near a complainant’s home on 1208th St. in Prescott. Multiple neighbors were checked with and no one was missing a wheelchair.
5:10 p.m.
Deputies responded to the intersection of 770th Ave. and Cty. Tk. F in River Falls for a driving complaint. Contact was made with the suspect driver, who stated he was coming from a school event and had several kids inside the vehicle. Everything appeared fine.
7:59 p.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for speed in Ellsworth near the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Cty. Tk. O.
8:16 p.m.
Deputies responded to Plum City near the intersection of Maple Ave. and Tower Hill Rd. for debris in the road. The roadway was cleared.
Four controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
October 13 1:07 a.m.
A traffic stop was attempted near the intersection of 350th Ave. and Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth for a moving violation. The vehicle fled and a felony pursuit was initiated. The suspect was later apprehended and taken into custody. See reports. 7:16 p.m.
A Deputy responded near the intersection of 1015th St. and Cty. Tk. FF in River Falls for a report of several semi’s traveling above the posted speed limit. Contact was made with an employee of the farm. The employee was warned and advised to pass along the warning to other workers.
10:10 p.m.
Deputies responded to 810th St. in Ellsworth for a suspicious activity complaint. The suspect vehicle left prior to arrival and was not located.
10:35 p.m.
A vehicle was stopped near the intersection of 170th Ave. and Cty. Tk. C in Bay City for operating left of center. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense.
Two controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
October 14 12:54 a.m.
A driver was stopped for speed in River Falls near the intersection of Hwy. 65 and Cty. Tk. W. A vehicle search was conducted due to the odor of marijuana. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 1st Offense.
1:44 p.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for speed near the intersection of 620th St. and Hwy. 29 in River Falls.
2:02 p.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for speed on 590th St. near Hwy. 29 in River Falls.
2:20 p.m.
A driver was cited for speed after being stopped near the intersection of 590th St. and Hwy. 29. 2:46 p.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for speed near the intersection of 1005th St. and Hwy. 35 in Hager City.
3:01 p.m.
A driver was stopped and warned for driving with no front bumper on 650th St. near Hwy. 29 in River Falls.
4:41 p.m.
A complainant on 162nd Ave. in Hager City reported that someone hit their mailbox sometime that day. They were not aware of any suspects and requested it be documented.
6:33 p.m.
A branch was removed from the roadway on 400th St. near Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth.
7:43 p.m.
A Deputy observed a vehicle strike a blue heron on Cty. Tk. A near Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock. The bird was captured, and custody was turned over to the DNR. 10:04 p.m.
A suspicious vehicle was reported on 1170th St. near Hwy. 29 in Prescott. The area was checked, but not located.
10:21 p.m.
A tree was observed down near the intersection of Hill St. and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. The tree was removed.
10:21 p.m.
A Deputy responded to Ellsworth near the intersection of 450th Ave. and 710th St. for a reported tree down in the roadway. The tree was removed.
Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
October 15 5:48 a.m.
A tree partially blocking the roadway on 710th Ave. in Spring Valley was removed.
6:51 a.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for speed near the intersection of 1170th St. and Hwy. 29 in Prescott.
7:39 a.m. Deputies responded to Hwy. 65 in Beldenville for a report of a suspicious activity. A vehicle, described as black with black windows, drove by an address twice while children were waiting for a bus and honked the horn. The vehicle was not located.
10:07 a.m.
Deputies were called to Maiden Rock near the intersection of 390th Ave. and Cty. Tk. CC. Contractors clearing power lines reported vehicles were failing to move over or slow down. The Deputy assisted with lights to slow traffic down for their safety.
10:46 a.m.
A report was received of at least one burglary to a storage unit on 520th Ave. in Ellsworth. Locks were tampered with on at least two other units, but entry was not made.
12:28 p.m.
Deputies were enroute to Prescott near the intersection of Dexter St. and Hwy. 10 to assist in a motorcycle pursuit, but the pursuit was terminated prior to arrival. 4:23 p.m.
A report of a burglary was taken from an address on 140th Ave. in Hager City.
6:08 p.m.
A vehicle was located that was stolen out of Red Wing, MN, traveling northbound on Hwy. 35. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle, but it fled from Deputies. Spikes were deployed and the vehicle finally crashed and started on fire in MN. Both parties were taken into custody and were not injured during the incident.
10:04 p.m.
A report was received that someone was shining deer after 10 p.m. in Elmwood near the intersection of Cty. Tk. CC and Cty. Tk. HH. The area was checked but nobody was located.
Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
October 16 5:29 a.m.
Deputies were dispatched to Prescott near the intersection of 1200th St. and 570th Ave. for a report of electrical equipment in the roadway. A male on scene reported that he had been operating the skyjack when it lost power on the side of the road. The subject was able to move it off the roadway.
10:31 a.m.
Deputies were dispatched to River Falls near the intersection of Hwy. 65 and 690th Ave. for a two-vehicle crash. State Patrol handled the crash.
11:09 a.m.
A complaint was received of a possible gas drive-off on Hwy. 35 in Bay City. It did not appear intentional. Contact was made with the subject and they paid for the gas by phone.
3:14 p.m.
A Deputy was dispatched to Prescott near the intersection of Cty. Tk. QQ and Hwy. 10 for a vehicle that was passing into oncoming traffic. The vehicle was located, and the driver was warned. 4:21 p.m.
A Deputy was approached by a subject who wished to report a hit and run that had just occurred in a parking lot on Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley. The suspect vehicle description was taken. 6:16 p.m.
A gas drive-off was reported on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock. Contact was made with the suspect, who paid his outstanding balance.
Eight controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
October 17 2:06 a.m.
A large piece of tire was removed from the roadway in Ellsworth near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and Hwy. 72. 4:41 a.m.
Suspicious activity was reported in Bay City near the intersection of 620th St. and 650th St. Contact was made with the suspect, who stated he was at work and wasn’t involved in the incident.
10:42 a.m.
Papers were served at an address on 190th Ave. in Maiden Rock. A female subject was arrested for multiple outstanding warrants and was transported to the Pierce County Jail.
11:17 a.m.
River Falls PD was assisted with a funeral escort in the 200 block of E. Division St.
11:35 a.m.
Contact was made with property owner after a suspicious activity report was made. The complainant reported seeing a small, dark colored vehicle on and around the property twice, and thought someone was casing the property. Suggestions on how to further secure and protect the property were given. 7:16 p.m.
A disabled vehicle was checked on in Hager City near the intersection of Hwy. 35 and Hwy. 63. The driver was repairing a tie rod. The Deputy stayed on scene until the vehicle was fixed and removed.
18 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
October 18 12:34 a.m.
Deputies were requested to respond to the 800 block of Winter Ct. in River Falls to assist RFPD with an unwanted subject.
4:11 p.m.
Deputies responded to 770th Ave. in River Falls for a driving complaint. The vehicle was parked near the roadway while the driver was sleeping behind the wheel. The driver was cited for Operating W/O a License – 3rd Offense and the vehicle was towed. 4:27 p.m.
A complainant reported that two televisions were dumped on 1208th St. near Hwy. 35 in Prescott. The complainant stated there has been a lot of activity with trash being dumped in the area. The township was notified.
5:19 p.m.
A driver was stopped and cited for speed in Ellsworth near the intersection of Cty. Tk. K and Hwy. 63.
