August 24 1:25 a.m.

A driver was stopped and warned for speeding on Hwy. 29 near Cty. Tk. E in River Falls. 5:29 a.m.

A driver was stopped and warned for speeding and unreadable license plate on 650th Ave. near Cty. Tk. BB in Spring Valley.

10:08 a.m.

A Deputy responded to an address on Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley for a gas drive off. The area was checked and the vehicle or its occupants were not located. See report.

11:12 a.m.

A Deputy located two calves in the roadway on Cty. Tk. N in Beldenville and was able to get them back into the pasture.

11:39 a.m.

Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash with no injuries and no road blockage near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and Cty. Tk. VV in Hager City. 11:46 a.m.

A complainant on Cty. Tk. U in Plum City was contacted via Facebook and talked into purchasing gift cards. The fraud was discovered prior to the suspects gaining any information about the cards. She is working with the store to retrieve her money.

12:35 p.m.

A caller on 170th Ave. in Bay City reported that she received an automated phone call from a local number stating it was from the Social Security Administration. The caller hung up prior to anything more occurring. The complainant suspected it was a former farm hand, however, there was no proof or further information.

2:55 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Hager City near the intersection of 810th St. and Hwy. 63 for a two-vehicle rear-end accident. Both subjects denied EMS. 3:57 p.m.

Deputies were request by St. Croix Cty. to check the area of 890th Ave. and Hwy. 63 in Baldwin for a white truck with a female yelling for help. The vehicle was last seen on Cty. Tk. YY in St. Croix Cty. The area was checked, and they were unable to locate. 5:10 p.m.

A driver was verbally warned for loud exhaust, failure to stop at the stop sign and speeding after being stopped in Ellsworth near the intersection of Crosstown Rd. and Hwy. 65. 9:50 p.m.

A driver was stopped and cited for speeding in Prescott near the intersection of Hwy. 29 and 1170th Ave.

9:16 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped for speed near the intersection of Hwy. 63 an 825th St. N. in Hager City. The driver’s parents were contacted, and they stated they would take care of the issue. Written warning given. 11:54 p.m.

A vehicle was stopped and cited for speed in Hager City near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and 825th Ave.

Four controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. August 25 1:30 a.m.

16 drivers were stopped and warned for speed near the intersection of Hwy. 63 and 825th St. S. in Hager City.

6:03 a.m.

A driver was stopped for excessive speed near the intersection of 290th Ave. and Cty. Tk. D in Bay City. A citation was issued for speed as the defendant has been stopped and warned twice for the same offense.

3:51 p.m.

A Deputy talked with a complainant on 135th Ave. in Hager City, who said they have been having problems with their neighbors in the past. That day, he threatened to pull her off his property by her hair. She stated she just wanted it documented. She was told how to apply for a TRO.

8:16 p.m.

A Deputy responded to Newman Ave. in Spring Valley for a car vs. pedestrian accident and arrived on scene when EMS was caring for a juvenile male. See report and crash report.

Four controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. August 26 6:58 a.m.

A deceased eagle was reported along the side of the roadway near the intersection of 890th St. and Hwy. 29 in River Falls. The DNR was contacted to remove the eagle.

6:10 p.m.

A Deputy responded to the intersection of 760th St. and Hwy. 10 for a two-vehicle crash. Information and photographs were collected. See report.

Two controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. August 27 8:24 a.m.

Deputies were requested to standby in the area of the 300 block of N. 4th St. for scene security while RFPD conducted field interviews. 7:05 p.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to 945th St. in Hager City for a driving compliant. The complainant stated the suspect vehicle drove through a field and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant. The suspect was located and arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 7th Offense.

9:32 p.m.

A Deputy drove upon a one-vehicle rollover crash on Cty. Tk. OO in Hager City. The driver was on scene and not injured.

Four controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. August 28 5:51 a.m.

A Deputy responded to a car vs. deer accident near the intersection of Hwy. 29 and Cty. Tk. Y in River Falls.

1:52 p.m.

A Deputy responded to an address on 452nd St. in Maiden Rock for a report of a found cell phone.

4:54 p.m.

A Deputy responded to an address on Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth for a suspicious vehicle. After making contact with the driver, it was learned he had been sitting there trying to make a phone call. He stated that he did not need any assistance.

6:37 p.m.

Deputies, WI State Patrol and EMS responded to an ATV crash with injury near the intersection of 220th St. and 810th Ave. A female entered the ditch and rolled the ATV she was operating along an ATV route. See DNR crash report.

7:35 p.m.

An unwanted subject was reported on 150th Ave. in Bay City. The male refused to identify himself and was believed to have active felony warrants from Minnesota. The male was taken into custody.

Seven controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

August 29 10:19 a.m.

A Deputy responded to Bay City near the intersection of Cty. Tk. D and Hwy. 35 for a car vs. deer accident. The vehicle was towed, and the driver was given information on selfreporting. The driver was given a courtesy ride back to their residence.

12:10 p.m.

A newer Jeep Cherokee, dark in color, with MN plates was reported to be stealing Trump political signs in Elmwood near the intersection of Cty. Tk. P and Cty. Tk. PP. Unable to locate. 2:27 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on 570th Ave. in Ellsworth for a possible threats complaint. The suspect party was found fishing in El Paso and spoken to. The whole incident was a simple misunderstanding between both parties. No threats seem to have been made. 5:56 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy. 29 in Prescott for a driving complaint. The vehicle was located and the driver was warned about potentially aggressive driving behavior. 7:32 p.m.

Deputies responded to 290th Ave. in Hager City for a harassment complaint. The landlord said a tenant showed up to his house to speak with him at 11:00 p.m. the previous night. He didn’t feel this was appropriate. He was advised to call dispatch if she shows up again and he doesn’t want her there. 7:57 p.m.

A Deputy was dispatched to Hwy. 10 in River Falls for a report of UTVs operating on Hwy. 10. The area was check and no UTVs were located.

10:01 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to 490th Ave. in Ellsworth for a fireworks complaint coming from residents in the Village of Ellsworth. The suspect residence was a county address. After responding, an intoxicated male was located who eventually admitted to lighting off fireworks. The Deputy also stood by as EPD questioned the subject about reported behavior that had taken place in the village.

Nine controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete. August 30 3:15 a.m.

A missing person was reported. Deputies responded but were later notified by the complainant that the subject had crashed her vehicle on 295th Ave. in Hager City and left the scene. The subject was located.

5:05 p.m.

Deputies responded to an address on 170th Ave. in Hager City for an accident with property damage. The caller reported that he got rear ended, had exchanged information with the other driver who had left, and wanted to report it to Law Enforcement. Contact was made with both parties and photographs were obtained.
