A black and white border collie was returned home after being found on Hwy. 35 in Maiden Rock.
10:22 a.m.
A driver was warned for speed after being stopped on 1170th St. near Hwy. 29 in Prescott. 1:11 p.m.
An accident with no damage was reported on Hwy. 63 near 825th St. in Hager City.
3:07 p.m.
A deer was removed from the roadway after being reported on Cty. Hwy. FF in River Falls.
5:43 p.m.
Phone contact was made with a complainant, who reported several items stolen from his vehicle on Park St. in Maiden Rock.
7:54 p.m.
A suspicious activity complaint on 180th Ave. in Hager City was received via email.
8:56 p.m.
Dispatch was advised of a tree down in the roadway near the intersection of 910th St. and 950th St. in River Falls.
8:55 p.m.
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Omaha Ave. in Elmwood for a found drugs complaint. The complainant found two bags filled with a white powder on top of an ice machine. Testing of the powder was inconclusive.
11 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
August 11 8:46 a.m.
A report of fraud was taken by phone.
12:53 p.m.
A Deputy was dispatched to Bay City near the intersection of 5th St. and Lake Pepin Blvd. for a stolen No Parking sign. The complainant reported it was the second time signs had been stolen that week.
2:36 p.m.
A Deputy was requested to respond to Maiden Rock near the intersection of 370th Ave. and Cty. Tk. CC for a deceased eagle in the roadway. The eagle was removed and the DNR was notified.
9:02 p.m.
A Deputy was requested by the jail to take a home monitoring subject back into custody. The subject was located in the 200 block of W. Johnson St. and taken to the jail.
9:20 p.m.
A driver was stopped and warned for no tail lamps on an RV trailer in Bay City near the intersection of Cty. Tk. EE and Hwy. 35.
Six controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
August 12 12:45 a.m.
Contact was made with a male in the park near the intersection of Park St. and Chester St. in Maiden Rock to inquire if he had seen any suspicious individuals in the area. The male reported not seeing anyone.
1:06 a.m.
A Deputy saw a vehicle parked on the hillside of a residence on Cty. Tk. S in Plum City, which seemed suspicious. Contact was made with a male, who was the homeowner.
9:29 a.m.
A Deputy responded to 785th St. in Hager City for a shoplifting complaint. The subject had taken a 12-pack of Bud Light from the store without paying for it. The subject was located in Red Wing, MN, and confessed to not paying for the beer. 12:05 p.m.
A Deputy responded to 831st St. in Hager City for a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. After arriving on scene, a vehicle was discovered stuck on the shoulder of the roadway. Contact was made with the vehicle owner. Midway Towing removed the vehicle. 6:27 p.m.
Fraud was reported by a subject on 570th St. in Beldenville.
11:39 p.m.
Deputies assisted EPD with a disorderly subject in the 100 block of S. Piety St. in Ellsworth.
Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
August 13 12:43 a.m.
A Deputy made contact with two sleeping occupants of an abandoned vehicle near the intersection of Cty. Tk. D and Hwy. 10 in Ellsworth. The subjects stated the vehicle was not drivable and they were waiting for the parts store to open in the morning.
8:11 a.m.
A van that was spray painted and had obscenities was checked on in Maiden Rock, near the intersection of 2nd St. and Hwy. 35. The owner stated he and his buddies were responsible for the paint job and stated he was willing to cover up the obscenities.
9:19 a.m.
A report was taken of many items taken from different buildings on the property after a report of theft was received from 130th Ave. in Bay City.
Three controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
August 14 1:03 p.m.
A Deputy was requested to make contact with a subject in the 200 block of Mound View Rd. in River Falls for a possible fraud. The complainant stated the client’s check bounced and wanted payment. Contact was made with the suspect, who requested the cab company wait until later in the day before collecting the money. The complainant was notified and was okay with the disposition.
8:25 p.m.
A report of fraud was taken from the 200 block of Cherry Ave. in Plum City. The complainant reported someone called claiming to be with the Social Security Administration.
8:42 p.m.
A Deputy responded near the intersection of Cty. Tk. CC and Cty. Tk. G in Elmwood to assist locating a cow in the roadway. One cow was located and secured.
Four controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
August 15 3:22 a.m.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle parked in the ditch near the intersection of 570th Ave. and Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth. The driver was observed sleeping behind the wheel with the vehicle running. Contact was made with the driver, who was ultimately arrested for Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense.
4:45 p.m.
Deputies were dispatched to Prescott near the intersection of 1150th St. and Hwy. 35 for a single motorcycle crash. One occupant was deceased at the scene. The other occupant left in an air ambulance. See report.
9:47 p.m.
A report of a fight in progress was received from Hwy. 35 in Bay City. The potential suspect and victim got into a car together and left the scene. The vehicle was not able to be located after the area was checked.
22 controlled burns were reported to dispatch. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
August 16 7:14 a.m.
A political sign was reported stolen from a residence on Hwy. 29 in River Falls.
10:49 a.m.
A theft report was received from an address on 485th Ave. in Prescott. Reported stolen were six kayaks, some lawn chairs and a private beach sign. No suspects at this time.
4:57 p.m.
Deputies responded to Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley for a report of a gas drive-off.
