PIERCE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT REPORTS

Last week, our publication of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Reports incorrectly indicated that Tricia Rouleau was arrested for a Felony Probation warrant. That was a mistake, Tricia Rouleau is a Probation Officer and was not arrested.

July 13 5:56 a.m.

A cow was returned to its fence near the intersection of Hwy. 29 and Hwy. 63 North in Spring Valley.

6:46 a.m.

A driver’s license was turned in and mailed to the subject’s residence.

10:53 a.m.

A driver was stopped and warned for speeding near the intersection of 1170th St. and Hwy. 29 in Prescott.

1:36 p.m.

Deputies were requested to the Pierce County Jail to assist with an out of control inmate. The inmate was throwing items out of his jail, causing a mess. Deputies stood by until cleared by jail administration.

3:26 p.m.

A harassment complaint was reported after a subject was advised not to contact his ex-girlfriend and he sent her messages on social media. The subject was advised enforcement action would be taken if he contacts her again.

4:30 p.m.

Deputies were dispatched to Beldenville near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. J and Hwy. 65 for a driving complaint. Ellsworth PD provided mutual aid and located the vehicle. The driver stated he was falling asleep driving.

11:20 p.m.

A deputy responded to Ellsworth near the intersection of 490th Ave. and Piety St. for a one-vehicle rollover with possible injury. EMS evaluated occupants of the vehicle and did not transport. The driver was identified and cited for failure to maintain control. Various times Eight controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 14 3:00 a.m.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth PD in attempting to locate a subject in the 500 block of Cairns St.

5:33 p.m.

A caller notified dispatch of a subject who approached them and asked for gas before driving away. The caller thought it was suspicious. A deputy checked the area and was not able to locate the vehicle in question.

6:00 p.m.

A driver was stopped and warned for speed on Hwy. 29 near Cty. Hwy. E in River Falls.

Three controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 15 3:33 a.m.

A deputy responded to an address on Cty. Hwy. E in Prescott for a report of a UFO in the sky. The deputy stayed for some time but only saw the moon. 10:09 a.m.

Multiple reports were received of a truck losing debris out of the back while driving down Cty. Hwy. E near Hwy. 10 in Prescott. The vehicle was located by a deputy and the male was going to back track and pick up all the scrap along the roadway.

10:30 p.m.

A deputy was requested to respond to the Sheriff’s Office lobby for a suspicious activity complaint. The complainant stated he was run off the roadway by two vehicles while on his bicycle and chased into the river on Cty. Hwy. A in Maiden Rock. A deputy arrived on scene, collected information and a statement. Deputies checked the area where the incident occurred. The bicycle and the complainant’s property were collected and returned to the owner.

Eight controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 16 11:12 a.m.

A deputy received a call about a possible fraud complaint. The caller stated he got a call of a person claiming to be an investigator for the PSCO and claiming his son was in trouble.

11:42 a.m.

Damage from the wake of another boat caused damage to three boats that were anchored and tied together at the Kinnickinnic State Park. 4:35 p.m.

Deputies responded to 710th St. in Beldenville for a reported dog bite. The dog and owner were located, and a 10-day quarantine was put in place.

6:33 p.m.

A deputy responded to an address on Hwy. 29 in Spring Valley for a report of children playing close to the roadway. The children and guardian were contacted and reminded to play safely away from the roadway. The guardian stated she was already aware of the issue. 6:49 p.m.

Deputies were requested to respond to Hwy. 63 in Beldenville for a driving complaint. The complainant stated the suspect vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed and almost ran a tractor off the roadway while passing. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

Two controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.

July 17 1:06 a.m.

A vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. QQ and Hwy. 29 in Prescott. The driver received a citation for speed and OWL – 1st.

3:42 a.m.

A deputy responded to a suspicious person complaint in the 100 block of Main St. in Elmwood. The two individuals were located and identified. The individuals then advised they would go home. 3:16 p.m.

A two-vehicle accident with no injury was reported in Ellsworth near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. A and Hwy. 10.

3:34 p.m.

A Deputy was dispatched to 830th St. in Hager City for a report of two trail cameras being stolen. The complainant said one was 15 feet up a tree and the other was 12 feet up a tree. No suspects at this time. 4:58 p.m.

A deputy was dispatched to Market St. in Bay City for a male subject that was reportedly being weird around kids. The subject was located and informed of what was reported.

7:45 p.m.

Two vehicles were stopped near the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Hwy. 63 in Ellsworth. The driver of the second car was attempting to call in a driving complaint of the first vehicle. He was advised if he is calling in a complaint, he still needs to follow the laws. Both drivers were verbally warned.

9:23 p.m.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of N. Maple St. in Ellsworth for several disgruntled patrons reported to be fighting during a truck rally. The parties were separated.

July 18 1:06 a.m.

Deputies responded to 825th St. in Hager City for a missing person. Phone contact was made with the juvenile, who stated that they were staying with friends.

2:06 a.m.

A deputy was requested to respond to River Falls near the intersection of 820th St. and Hwy. 65 for a one-vehicle crash with injury. The complaint came in as an anonymous driving complaint, and the complainant advised the suspect was involved in a vehicle rollover and was ejected. Deputies arrived on scene, collected information and assisted EMS as needed. The female suspect was placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated on scene and transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, with undetermined injuries.

3:15 a.m.

A deputy spoke with a man over the phone who stated he was struck in the face by a beer can while at a bar on Hwy. 35 in Bay City. He stated that he wanted to speak with Law Enforcement the following day due to the time of day. The male decided he did not want to press any charges or make a report of the incident.

5:58 a.m.

A driver was stopped for speed in Ellsworth near the intersection of Cty. Hwy. V and 730th Ave. and cited for speed and OWL.

4:29 p.m.

A deputy responded to 180th Ave. in Hager City for a neighbor who was upset with the caller due to the way his flag was being flown. Contact was made with the neighbor and he was advised to stay off the caller’s property and to not make threats.

10:53 p.m.

Vehicles were observed in a park after hours near the intersection of 757th St. and 770th Ave. in River Falls. An odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. A group was located that admitted to having marijuana. The persons and vehicle were searched. Citations were issued and explained.

Eight controlled burns were called in. The callers were advised to obtain any required permits and to call back when complete.
