Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reports July 19

At 10:43 a.m., a complainant reported someone looking in the windows at W13023 635th Ave., Prescott. Police spoke to the man, who said he was an old friend and wanted to let the complainant know he was in town from Florida.

At 11:05 a.m., police responded to W3716 Highway 10, Maiden Rock, for a vehicle theft. The vehicle was entered into the system as stolen.

At 12:38 p.m., a village of Plum City employee reported a damaged hand rail at 501 Main St. The damage occurred sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Officers assisted a person with a flat tire on their horse trailer at 1:54 p.m. at 410th Avenue and Highway 10, Ellsworth.

At 2:40 p.m., a complainant reported a dog bite that had occurred at N1603 830th St., Hager City. The man was walking his dog when a dog left the above property and bit him. Police contacted the owner, provided them quarantine paperwork and notified Public Health.

Officers assisted Ellsworth police with a vehicle that was smoking at 4:47 p.m. at Beebee and Main streets.

At 6:40 p.m., a deputy stopped a UTV for operating on a state highway at W10299 Highway 10, River Falls. Information was passed on to the recreational officer and a citation will be issued.

At 10:01 p.m., police responded to W7897 830th Ave., River Falls, for a domestic incident. Two people were arguing; a female agreed to leave for the evening.

July 20

At 1:08 a.m., a deputy observed a black and white vehicle speeding in the county that had a light bar, similar to law enforcement. The vehicle did not look familiar. When the deputy turned around, the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. The deputy located the vehicle at 251 Tower Heights Court in Prescott. It had full lights and signage that are similar to law enforcement. The vehicle was warm, but the owner was not located.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a two-vehicle crash with road blockage at 12:10 p.m. at Cairns and Maple streets.

At 12:52 p.m., a complainant reported that someone had put fireworks in his mailbox and damaged it, at W10803 620th Ave., Prescott. The damage occurred between 6 p.m. July 19 and 12:50 p.m. July 20. There are no suspects.

Public Health requested assistance at 1:04 p.m. at W7830 Highway 10, Ellsworth.

Deputies responded at 1:52 p.m. to W4197 370th Ave., Ellsworth, for a report of a stolen Polaris Ranger 500 UTV. The vehicle was entered into the system as stolen.

An anonymous caller reported rabbits in distress at 4:39 p.m. at 728 First St. The homeowner said he would have his daughter check on the rabbits.

At 4:47 p.m., a complainant reported suspicious activity and requested extra patrol in the area of W3856 Highway 10, Maiden Rock.

July 21

At 6:11 a.m., a man was found sleeping in his car in the parking lot at W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley. A valid driver was called to pick him and the vehicle was tagged to be removed. It had no plates.

At 8:35 a.m., an anonymous caller reported a mailbox at W11102 620th Ave., Prescott, that looked like it was “blown up by fireworks.” When police arrived, the mailbox was intact but fireworks remnants were found next to the box.

Police spoke to a complainant at 10:01 a.m. at W12235 620th Ave., Prescott, about someone putting fireworks in their mailbox.

At 12:07 p.m., a complainant at W10803 620thAve., Prescott, reported someone lit fireworks off in his mailbox for the second night in a row.

Deputies responded at 6:08 p.m. to W1255 330th Ave., Plum City, for a vehicle that had crashed into a river. The driver was cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle.

At 10:27 p.m., deputies found a vehicle in the ditch at County Road B and Highway 29, Spring Valley. The vehicle was connected to an incident in St. Croix County. It was removed from the scene.

People were warned at 10:53 p.m. at N673 825th St., Hager City, for underage drinking.

At 11:30 p.m., deputies assisted Prescott police with a vehicle crash at Highway 35 and 570th Avenue after a pursuit that started in Prescott. Deputies followed the vehicle to the impound lot.

July 22

A stolen motorcycle was reported at 1:33 p.m. at 307 S. Falls St., River Falls.

PCSO was called at 2:28 p.m. for a report of people seen checking doors on a camera system at W9954 290th Ave., Hager City. No one was found.

Deputies responded at 4:38 p.m. to W3525 Park St., Maiden Rock, for a disorderly person. A man was arrested for disorderly conduct.

An anonymous caller/passerby reported animal neglect at 7:11 p.m. at W6433 Highway 10, Ellsworth. Police contacted the farmer and all animals had sufficient food and water.

At 8:43 p.m., police responded to a driving complaint about a possible intoxicated driver at W3423 890th Ave., Baldwin. The complainant said a man had driven intoxicated onto her property. He was located parked on his own property and said he was going to bed. Deputies had to leave for another call.

At 8:59 p.m., a caller reported a white motorcycle passing people in a no-passing zone at Highway 10 and 1090th Street, Hager City. Deputies located the motorcycle, which was traveling 79 mph in a 55mph-zone. The vehicle fled and the pursuit was terminated; the motorcycle matched the description of a motorcycle reported stolen in River Falls.

At 9:26 p.m., police responded to W7767 County Road J, Beldenville, for a suspicious vehicle parked there. The vehicle’s owner said they were looking for their horses, which had gotten out.

At 10:45 p.m., officers responded to W7954 180th Ave., Hager City, for a complaint of someone shooting guns. When police arrived, the house was dark and no one was located.

July 23

A caller reported a black bear in front of her house at 12:34 a.m. at W6282 Highway 35, Bay City. The bear ran into the woods before police arrived.

At 7:14 a.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a man walking around the neighborhood on 451st Street in Maiden Rock. Police made contact with the man and contacted Human Services. He was given a ride to Maiden Rock.

At 7:16 a.m., a caller requested a welfare check on a man sleeping in a car at N8652 940th St., River Falls. Police checked on the man and he said he had friends that lived there. He was advised to leave once he had a valid driver come pick him up.

Someone contacted PCOS at 8:41 a.m. and requested extra patrol from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. July 23 through Aug. 16 on 570th Avenue, Prescott.

At 10:12 a.m., police were called to W3532 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, for an unwanted person. They transported the person to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, per the person’s request.

At 11:37 a.m., an anonymous caller reported someone possibly doing drugs in a suspicious vehicle at 1250th Street and County Road F, River Falls. No one was located.

At 11:45 a.m., police received a shooting complaint for N1378 Elsa Court, Bay City. The caller said a neighbor shoots his shotgun in the village limits. The neighbor admitted to target practicing. He was given a verbal warning and the village clerk was notified.

At 12:36 p.m., a caller requested police look for a stolen vehicle at 327 E. Springer Ave., Elmwood. The vehicle was not at the location.

At 8:34 p.m., a caller at N1413 790th St., Hager City, reported a man taking items and a vehicle title from a property that they had rented and used as an auto body shop for the past 4.5 years. Police informed the caller that it’s a civil matter that would have to go through small claims court.

At 8:49 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle on the roadway at W8808 770th Ave., River Falls. Nothing was located.

A complainant called in a possible hit and run at 10:59 p.m. at N1090 825th St., Hager City. Both vehicles were gone when police arrived.

Ellsworth police requested help in locating a vehicle at 11:10 p.m. that had possibly been involved in a disturbance in the village at 252 N. Broadway St. The area and suspect’s home were checked, but no one was located.

Deputies assisted Prescott police at 11:32 p.m. at 770 Washington St., Prescott.

July 24

Deputies responded at 10:55 a.m. to W6453 610th Ave., Ellsworth, for a request to check for stolen property. No property was seen from the road.

At 5:41 p.m., deputies responded to N3198 875th St., Hager City, for an unwanted person. A woman was verbally served paperwork and informed she is not welcome at the property.

Deputies were sent to the Mississippi River in Prescott at 6:49 p.m. for a possible domestic on a boat in the river. No patrol boats were available, and the boat in question could not be located from shore. No one appeared to be in distress.

At 6:58 p.m., a caller at W3654 Highway 29, Spring Valley, reported finding a doll inside his mailbox that he believed to be a form of a threat. The doll was disposed of and the complainant informed of options to apply for a restraining order.

At 9:44 p.m., a complainant reported people in a vehicle lighting off fireworks at N8312 1126th St., River Falls. No one was located.

July 25

Deputies assisted Elmwood police at 12:42 a.m. with a physical domestic at 133 S. Main St.

At 2:51 p.m., a caller reported vehicles racing in the area of 810th Avenue and County Road W, River Falls, several days earlier.

At 8:41 p.m., a woman called police from the boat launch at N1299 825th St., Hager City, because her drunk friend wouldn’t get into the car. She got the friend in the car before police arrived.

At 9:18 p.m., police observed a vehicle parked near N1891 830th St., Hager City. When they searched the property, they found two people trespassing. The man ran away, but the woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping.
