The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office May 24-June 1.

May 24

•Police responded to N673 825th St., Hager City, at 12:24 a.m. for a shooting complaint. It turned out to be fireworks.

•Police attempted to stop an eastbound, black sport bike for speeding on Highway 10 near 400th Street at 11:13 a.m. The deputy could not keep up with the bike and had to call the pursuit off.

•At 11:47 a.m., police were notified of an unattended motorcycle in the ditch that appeared to have crashed near W4598 370th Ave., Ellsworth. Deputies, wardens, and St. Croix County deputies with a K9 tracked the area but could not locate the driver.

•Police were called at 3:42 p.m. about a man blocking the complainant in with his vehicle at W3465 890th Ave., Baldwin. The complainant said the man was yelling at her and wouldn’t let her leave. He left once she called police.

May 25

•At 5:14 a.m., a car vs. deer crash was reported at Highway 35 and 570th Avenue, Prescott.

•Deputies responded at 6:54 a.m. to 166 E. Main St., Ellsworth, for a house fire. They assisted with interviews and photos on the scene.

•At 8:44 a.m., deputies assisted Prescott police with a trespassing complaint at 2050 Jefferson St.

•Police were called at 9:20 a.m. about a verbal altercation at N1932 County Road K, Hager City. Contact was made with those involved, and one person left the residence. The argument appeared to be over the complainant takin someone’s keys.

•At 12:12 p.m., police were called to N1454 810th St., Hager City, where the complainant reported someone in a dark or black Dodge Ram was taking photos of their residence. When the homeowners tried to speak with him, he sped off. Police did not locate the vehicle.

•Police removed a tree from the roadway at 4 p.m. near 690th Avenue and 720th Street, Beldenville.

•Police were called at 5:19 p.m. to N8713 County Road BB, Baldwin, for an animal bite. Quarantine paperwork was issued.

•Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an uncooperative, suicidal male at 8:15 p.m. along the side of the road at 590th Street and Highway 63, Ellsworth. He was taken into custody for an emergency detention.

May 26

•Police received a threats complaint at 1:12 a.m. at N1932 County Road K, Hager City. The complainant declined pursuing the matter and locked her doors.

•Police were notified of a deer vs. car crash at 6:52 a.m. near County Road A and Highway 35, Maiden Rock.

•Deputies assisted Spring Valley police with a minor crash at 12:01 p.m. at S130 McKay Ave.

•A 2020 Yamaha Raptor ATV was taken into custody at 3:26 p.m. at 466 S. Dakota St. when deputies served a Write of Replevin.

•Deputies assisted police at 3:32 p.m. at S1450 County Road CC, Spring Valley.

•Police responded to N5335 760th St., Ellsworth, at 5:05 p.m. for a disorderly resident and assisted staff as needed. The resident returned home without incident.

•Police responded at 6:48 p.m. to 170th St. and Highway 10, Plum City, for a deer vs. car crash.

•A car vs. deer crash was reported at 9:30 p.m. at W1743 Highway 72, Elmwood.

May 27

•Deputies assisted EMS with CPR and extrication of a man from a home at 8:06 a.m. at W5090 370th Ave., Bay City.

•A vandalized mailbox was reported at 8:24 a.m. at N8468 County Road I, Spring Valley.

•A deer vs. car crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. at 770th Avenue and Highway 65, River Falls.

May 28

•Police removed a dead deer from the middle of the road at 7:58 a.m. at 330th Avenue and Highway 10, Ellsworth.

•Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 2:13 p.m. at 414 W. Main St., Ellsworth, to take a person into custody on charges from an active investigation. The person did not appear for his court date.

•A car vs. deer crash was reported at 4:03 p.m. at County Road CC and Highway 29, Spring Valley.

•Police responded to a domestic incident at 10:18 p.m. at N1484 810th St., Hager City. The alleged victim declined to make a report and a man agreed to sleep in a camper on the property.

May 29

•Deputies assisted Prescott police at 117 Broad St. at 12: 09 a.m.

•Police observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed at 2:01 a.m. near 860th Street and Highway 10, Ellsworth. Police attempted to catch up with it, but could not. The motorcycle later crashed.

•Deputies assisted Prescott police at 3:06 a.m. at 117 Broad St.

•A resident reported a black bear in a tree at 6:29 a.m. at W3043 730th Ave., Spring Valley. A conservation officer responded.

•Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 12:36 p.m. at Highway 63 and 850th Avenue, Spring Valley. EMS responded but both parties refused transport.

•Two catalytic converters, several 12-volt batteries and a radiator were reported stolen at 1:26 p.m. from W7193 450th Ave., Ellsworth

•A deer vs. car crash was reported at 2:29 p.m. at 280th Avenue and Highway 63, Hager City.

•A complainant reported a stolen mandevilla plant from her front porch at 3:43 p.m. at N5912 610th St., Ellsworth. Suspects are unknown.

•At 7:05 p.m., a complainant reported that eight storage units were broken into at W7740 520th Ave., Ellsworth. The locks had been cut.

May 30

•Police responded to a vehicle fire at 3:46 a.m. at W1731 710th Ave., Spring Valley. Photos and information were gathered.

•Police were called at 4:47 a.m. to N1660 835th St., Hager City, where a vehicle had driven across a yard. Police located an unoccupied vehicle in the yard. It appeared the vehicle left the road and crashed into the ditch. The vehicle’s owner is unknown.

•At 1:01 p.m., police were notified of an accident in which a fire ring was backed over and destroyed at W6490 Lake Pepin Blvd., Bay City. The parties agreed to a resolution.

•Police responded at 5:21 p.m. to the area of W4618 850th Ave., Spring Valley, for mailboxes that had been struck by a car the night before. The suspect vehicle was not confirmed.

•Deputies assisted Spring Valley police with an unexpected death at 5:50 p.m. at W401 ½ N. Second St.

May 31

•Police responded at 3:24 a.m. to N1803 803rd St., Hager City, for a suspicious activity complaint. The caller said a truck with loud exhaust had been driving by repeatedly. Police located a motorcycle nearby along the road. Police were able to make contact with its owner, who said it had been stolen.

•Deputies were called at 11 a.m. to 248 Front St., Prescott, for a sinking jet ski. The jet ski was taking on water ¼ mile north of Prescott. A larger craft was able to remove it.

•A man reported losing his blue and white Pelican kayak at 2:06 p.m. somewhere along County Road FF, River Falls, or in that vicinity.

June 1

•Deputies responded at 2:04 a.m. to N4909 710th St., Ellsworth, for a car vs. house crash. The driver and residence occupants were not injured. The driver was arrested for OWIfirst.

•Police responded at 2:46 a.m. to N7555 950th St., River Falls, for a crash that was about three hours old. Photos were taken and the driver was cited for failure to maintain control.

•A shooting complaint was reported at 3:04 a.m. at N1090 825th St., Hager City. The caller said he heard two gunshots and someone saying “help.” No one was found.
