The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office April 26May 3.

April 26

Deputies were called to a County Road QQ address to stand by at 7:56 a.m. One person had blocked another person’s vehicle in during a dispute. Parties were advised both had rights to be there.

A complainant called police at 9:18 a.m. concerned about a neighbor’s guinea hens at 1000th Street and 570th Avenue.

A complainant requested extra patrol at 4:33 p.m. at 1200th Street and Highway 35 near Prescott. The man said semis speed through there at all hours of the day.

A concerned citizen called at 9:32 p.m. to report a man walking on the side of the road. The citizen worried the man would be hit. Upon contact with the man, he told police he was fine and was going to start walking back to California.

April 27

Deputies were called at 7:42 a.m. to investigate a report of cows in the park at 444 Park Road in Plum City. Upon arrival, no cows were found.

A driver reported a car vs. turkey crash at 11:23 a.m. near 770th Avenue and Highway 65, River Falls.

Police responded to a County Road BB, Spring Valley, address at 11:53 a.m. to investigate a fraud complaint. The resident told police fraudulent checks had been cashed from his account.

Police spoked with a resident at 12:13 p.m. regarding a bird cage left at a 677th Street, Ellsworth, address. The bird cage was awarded to the landlord in small claims court.

A citizen contacted police at 2:25 p.m. about two vehicles that were left on property at N8870 County Road F, River Falls.

Extra patrol was requested at county road I and B near Spring Valley at 5:08 p.m.

Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash at 5:37 p.m. at 130th Street and 50th Avenue near Stockholm. Photos were taken.

Police assisted Ellsworth police at 5:27 p.m. with a possibly intoxicated person in the 700 block of West Crest Lane.

Deputies responded to a deer vs. car crash at 7:40 p.m. at 820th Street and Highway 65, River Falls.

Police responded to a deer vs. car crash at 8:22 p.m. at 430th Street and Highway 72, Ellsworth.

Deputies responded to a possible roadside domestic incident at 9:12 p.m. at Highway 10 and County Road O, Ellsworth. Information was taken from a female on scene. The male was not located at the scene and police attempted to reach him at his residence and by phone.

April 28

Deputies investigated a suspicious activity report at 1:27 a.m. on 790th Street near Hager City. Nothing was located out of the ordinary.

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle/person call at 4:37 a.m. in the 100 block of East Main Street, Ellsworth. The subject left prior to police arriving.

A driver notified police of a car vs. turkey crash at 7:40 a.m. near 1200th Street and Highway 35, Prescott. The turkey damaged the vehicle’s hood.

At 2:47 p.m. an Ellsworth resident reported he was solicited by a person on Facebook to buy drugs. He wanted the incident documented.

A deputy assisted a man changing a tire at 4:03 p.m. near Highway 65 and 820th Street, River Falls.

A deputy assisted a truck driver to get to Knight’s Tractor Salvage at N6002 Highway 63, Ellsworth, at 4:10 p.m.

A deputy assisted a man changing a tire at 6:27 p.m. near 290th Street and Highway 72, Elmwood.

An Ellsworth resident reported at 10:06 p.m. that his wife had picked up a sick cat in the county and brought it home. Police offered the town chair’s name and number to call, but the man declined as he said he did not have time.

April 29

A complainant reported at 8:36 a.m. a semi had turned around in his driveway on 490th Avenue, Prescott, causing damage. The yard was rutted and their mail box post damaged. The incident did not appear intentional.

A Spring Valley woman reported receiving a call from the sheriff’s department at 4:32 p.m. referencing an arrest warrant. The call was a scam.

Police checked on a man sleeping in a vehicle at 7:34 p.m. at N1299 825th St., Hager City. All was well.

Police responded to reports of an out-ofcontrol Prescott juvenile at 8:37 p.m. The juvenile stole the parents’ vehicle and made comments of self-harm. Police contacted Northwest Connections, who put a safety plan in place. The juvenile later took several pills and fled again. Police located the juvenile and transported the juvenile to a hospital.

A complainant reported a man walking the train tracks at 8:56 p.m. near 508th Avenue, Prescott. Police could not find the man nor find a safe way to check the tracks due to the bluffs.

Police responded at 9:01 p.m. to County Road QQ / Highway 35, Prescott, for part of a guard rail in the roadway. Investigation determined farm equipment struck the guard rail.

Police were called at 9:42 p.m. to a Plum City address for two kids arguing and pounding on their parents’ door. CPS was contacted.

April 30

Police assisted getting a cow off the road at 3:58 a.m. on County Road PP, Elmwood.

Police had to dispatch a young deer that had been hit at 8:01 a.m. near 860th Street and Highway 10, Ellsworth.

Police assisted with a flat tire change at 12:01 p.m. at County Road K and Highway 63, Ellsworth.

A dog bite was reported at 5:15 p.m. at a 497th Avenue, Prescott, address. Statements and photos were collected; quarantine paperwork was issued.

Police were called at 6:57 p.m. to 590th Street, Ellsworth, for an “odd-looking man that was acting strangely.” He was not located.

Police removed a mattress from the roadway at 11:53 p.m. at 385th Street and Highway 35, Maiden Rock.

May 1

Police were called at 4:43 a.m. to a County Road VV, Hager City, address, for a report of suspicious people loitering near a business. Police talked to two people, who said their car had been stolen from a bar. The vehicle was officially reported stolen.

Police responded at 7:57 a.m. to County Road VV and Highway 35, Hager City, for a one-vehicle accident with property damage.

Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash with no injuries at 11:08 a.m. at N7211 Highway 65, River Falls.

Deputies were called at 4:17 p.m. to N1817 785th St., Hager City, to a truck rally in progress. The property owner wanted people to leave due to the number of people and liability reasons. Everyone left without incident.

Deputies, Prescott Police, EMS and Fire responded to an alleged structure fire at 8:28 p.m. at W12354 694th Ave., Prescott. The fire turned out to be a controlled burn. The property owner was told to contact dispatch in the future.

May 2

Police responded to a fight in progress at 1:13 a.m. at N673 825th St., Hager City. Statements and photos were collected.

Deputies responded to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries at 1:53 p.m. at Highway 63 and 825th Street South, Hager City. People were taken to hospitals by ambulance. Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating further.

Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with no injuries at 2:48 p.m. at N673 825th St., Hager City.

Police were informed of a car vs. deer crash at 3:55 p.m. at 170th Street and 610th Avenue, Elmwood.

A caller reported a dead animal in the ditch at 5:23 p.m. off County Road N, Beldenville. The animal’s death appeared to be intentional. The animal’s owner is unknown.

Police responded to a car vs. deer crash at 7:55 p.m. near County Road A and Highway 35, Maiden Rock. The deer was not located.

Deputies responded to a family fight in progress at 8:24 p.m. at a 1220th Street address, Prescott. The argument was verbal and everyone agreed to calm down.

A dog bite was reported at 10:02 p.m. at a County Road C, Ellsworth, residence. The owner was issued quarantine paperwork.

May 3

Police responded at 12:51 a.m. to a County Road M, River Falls, home where two people reported each was bothering the other. The man decided to stay the night in the basement.
