The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office April 1218.
April 12
•Deputies assisted Prescott police at 3:36 a.m. at 800 Canton St.
•Deputies responded to a car vs. deer crash at 4:07 a.m. at 757th Avenue and County Road F, near River Falls. The deer was removed from the roadway.
•A deputy responded to a call about a deceased deer in a road and car nearby in the ditch at 4:29 a.m. near 490th Street and Highway 10, Ellsworth. The deputy pulled the deer off the road; there was no damage on the vehicle consistent with a deer crash. A voicemail was left for the vehicle’s owner.
•A fraud complaint was reported at 8:12 a.m. by a River Falls resident. The complainant said he is selling a boat and was given a check for more than the boat is being sold for, to cover shipping costs. He reported it to his bank. Police confirmed it’s a scam.
•Deputies were dispatched at 10:41 a.m. for an injured eagle at County Road C and Highway 35, Bay City. The eagle was found in a field, but flew off as the deputy approached.
•PCSO received a complaint of “German Shepherds running” at 2:10 p.m. near 1200th Street and Highway 10, Prescott.
•A speeding citation was issued at 8:28 p.m. after a traffic stop at County Road G and Highway 63, Beldenville.
•Suspicious activity was reported at 8:40 p.m. at 985th Street and 290th Avenue, Hager City. Police made contact with two people, who said they were on a date night and wanted to listen to the river. Both parties said they were not trying to drive into the river.
•A caller reported cows near the roadway at 10:16 p.m. near County Road DD and Highway 72, Ellsworth. The cows were located and placed back into their fenced area.
April 13
•PCSO assisted River Falls police with a traffic stop at 12:03 a.m. at Church and Main streets, River Falls. The driver was arrested and the vehicle searched.
•Two people with headlamps were observed walking around vehicles near 270th Street and Highway 72, Elmwood, at 12:24 a.m. When deputies attempted contact, the people took off. Deputies obtained permission from the land owner to search the entire property, but found nobody.
•The coroner was called at 3:33 p.m. to W6490 Highway 35, Bay City.
•Police responded to the scene of a possible overdose at 4:48 p.m. at a Highway 29 address in Spring Valley. They assisted EMS on the scene.
•Police were called at 9:41 p.m. to N3050 Highway 63 for an injured fox. They were unable to locate it.
•A man was arrested at 11:32 p.m. at N1640 733rd St., Hager City, residence for domestic disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping and a warrant. The caller reported the man as intoxicated and throwing things around the home. The home was searched and the male suspect located.
April 14
•During a traffic stop for speeding and no front license plate at 12:53 a.m. near County Road OO and Highway 35, Hager City, police smelled marijuana. Baggies and flakes of marijuana and a concealed taser were found.
•PCSO assisted Ellsworth police with making contact with a homeless couple sleeping in the bed of a truck at 6:28 a.m. in the 100 block of East Main Street.
•A speeding citation was issued after a traffic stop at 6:45 a.m. at Highway 10 and County Road O, Ellsworth.
•A driver was cited for operating without a license after a traffic stop at 10:32 a.m. at Cemetery Road and Oak Hill in Bay City.
•A caller found two hound mixes in the area of W4857 Highway 35 at 1:24 p.m.
•Police responded to a loose horse complaint at 2:10 p.m. at County Road QQ and Highway 10, Prescott. The horse was under control before police arrival.
•A caller reported picking up a shepherd mix dog on the side of the road at 2:56 p.m. near W5820 Highway 29, River Falls.
•A speeding citation was issued after a traffic stop at 5:07 p.m. near County Road E and Highway 35, Prescott.
•PCSO assisted at a structure fire at W6453 610th Ave., Ellsworth, at 11:37 p.m.
April 15
•A speeding citation was issued after a traffic stop at 6:01 a.m. at County Road M and 1090th Street, River Falls.
•An operating without a license citation was issued after a traffic stop at 6:36 a.m. at Cemetery Road and Highway 65 in River Falls.
•PCSO assisted Spring Valley High School with a K-9 sniff search at 8:57 a.m.
•A vehicle was stopped at 12:24 p.m. at 940th Street and Highway 29, River Falls, due to the registered owner showing multiple warrants. The driver was arrested and turned over to Pepin County for a felony warrant.
•A resident on 770th Street in Hager City reported theft of a lime green wallet containing $250 and multiple credit cards at 1:20 p.m.
•Police responded at 1:29 p.m. to Elmwood schools for two suspicious vehicles. Upon arrival, the people parked in the lot said they didn’t realize it was a school zone.
•A man was arrested at 4:02 p.m. at N1639 County Road C, Bay City, for a restraining order violation, felony bail jumping and a probation hold.
•Police responded to a one-vehicle rollover at 4:56 p.m. at 280th Street and Highway 10, Maiden Rock. There were no injuries.
•A caller reported possibly intoxicated juveniles making noise at 8:58 p.m. on 490th Avenue in Elmwood. The juveniles were trying to get a stuck car out of the mud.
April 16
•Police responded to a domestic incident in the PCSO parking lot at 4:06 p.m.
•A set of keys were found at 4:23 p.m. on 690th Street, Beldenville.
•Police collected information about a possible recent burglary at 5 p.m. at a County Road Y address, River Falls.
•Deputies responded to a domestic incident at 7:17 p.m. on 130th Avenue, near Maiden Rock. A woman said a man pushed her out of the house and wouldn’t let her back in.
•Police responded to a fight between two juveniles at 8:41 p.m. on 440th Avenue, near Ellsworth. Boiling water was thrown and one juvenile went to the emergency room for burns.
•Police responded to a storage unit at 11:15 p.m. on 170th Avenue in Hager City for a suspicious activity report. A tenant was there working on his snowmobiles.
•Police responded to a car vs. deer crash at 11:19 p.m. at County Road E and Highway 35 near Prescott.
April 17
•Police were called at 1:23 a.m. to 825th Street in Hager City, where shots were allegedly fired. Empty shell casings were found at the scene.
•Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injury and road blockage at 2:02 a.m. at Highway 63 and 810th Street South in Hager City. One driver was taken to the hospital by personal vehicle with undisclosed injuries. The second driver was arrested for OWI-second.
•A speeding citation was issued after a traffic stop at 3:39 a.m. at the top of the Hager Hill.
•A caller reported a silver Kia parked on the side of the road that looked like it had been in an accident, at 7:55 a.m. on 520th Avenue in Hager City. The registered owner said her daughter had crashed into the ditch earlier and was not injured.
•Police responded at 1:02 p.m. to W2318 570th Ave., Elmwood, for an unresponsive person with pulse. The person was pronounced dead at the scene by the assistant medical examiner.
•PCSO assisted Elmwood Fire with a grass fire at 1:41 p.m. at W1424 490th Ave., Elmwood.
•PCSO assisted Elmwood Fire with a grass fire at 1:53 p.m. at N4547 130th St., Elmwood.
•A driver was cited for speeding and warned for passing multiple vehicles in a no passing zone and failing to yield after a traffic stop at 3:26 p.m. near 1150th Street and Highway 35, Prescott.
•A vehicle was stopped for stunt driving at 3:41 p.m. at W5960 Highway 35, Hager City.
•A driver was cited for speeding at 4:40 p.m. near County Road K and Highway 35, Hager City.
•A driver was cited for passing in a no passing zone at 5:19 p.m. near 320th Avenue and Highway 63, Hager City.
•Police attempted to stop two motorcycles for traveling about 100 mph and passing in a no passing zone at 6:50 p.m. near 830th Street and Highway 35 in Hager City. A plate number was observed. A driver was cited for operating without a license and warned for speeding at 7:29 p.m. at 410th Avenue and Highway 35, Prescott.
•A caller told police at 8:08 p.m. that a cat locked itself in her car at a County Road C, Ellsworth, address. It’s unclear whether the cat got out.
•PCSO responded to a fight in progress at 8:16 p.m. at S225 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. The parties were separated for the evening.
•A driver was arrested for OWI-second and cited for lane deviation and open intoxicants in a vehicle after a traffic stop at 9:05 p.m. at Division Street and Highway 35 in River Falls. A probation hold was placed.
April 18
•PCSO responded to a bar fight and assisted Ellsworth police at 1:16 a.m. at 252 N. Broadway St. The victim did not want anything done.
•PCSO responded to a truck vs. tree crash at 1:16 a.m. at County Road O and 640th Avenue near Ellsworth. The driver had fled from the scene. Photos were taken and the truck towed.
•Police responded to a shooting complaint at 2:19 a.m. on County Road K near Hager City. Police found two intoxicated men, who said kids were shooting. Officers informed them of about possession of firearms while intoxicated laws.
•An officer was flagged down and informed of a one-vehicle crash at 9:54 a.m. near 800th Avenue and Highway 65, River Falls. The driver said they lost control and went into the ditch, striking a fence.
•PCSO responded to a deer vs. car crash at 11:14 a.m. at 570th Avenue and 800th Street, Ellsworth.
•A complainant reported a drone flying over her property at 2:42 p.m. on Highway 63 near Ellsworth. The drone got close to her face and close enough for her to touch. Upon arrival, no drone was located.
